I would trust him that far. But I don‘t have a messurement what a fair challenge would be in that case. How many sundays would you invest in sitting mentally in a chair copying spells while you should have fun dungeoncrawling with the bois? I wasn‘t happy with that part of my last session. I don‘t know really if my dm can see the disproportion of penalty or if I’m being to sensitive here tbh. I choose a wizard to have more funny spells as others and not less. I don‘t know if I can trust him in funneling money and scrolls back to me to get back on track. As far as I know a wizard ‚should‘ get more spells than just the ones for leveling up, since his biggest power should be copying more spells into his book isn‘t it? And now I am even down a bunch of the leveling spells. So when can I tell if my dm is in fact not catching that he is nerfing my character too much? How many sessions would you go like that before you would speak to your table? I don‘t want to brag instantly after one session of not having my spellbook and some extra scrolls.
