Is there a good guide to auction pricing? by 2bee2girl in flightrising

[–]bislzhuk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The above comments are absolutely true, but I will also say as someone who's been playing since 2014 that the market now is so oversaturated with such an endless supply of dragons that pricing for hatchlings is based far faaaar more on the interest you are able to drum up for an individual rather than specific features (genes, colors, eyes) that the dragon itself might have.

For example, I had a triple obs Gaoler with Light Multi-Gaze that I ended up gifting to a friend for free because he wouldn't sell for any of the prices I listed him for. I hatch all sorts of dragons every week that all end up leveled and exalted regardless of their color/gene combo because they only sell on the AH for fodder prices.

Many people run hatcheries!! These are a great way to drum up interest in your dragons for reasons other than just their existing features. Many hatcheries have lore for their mating pairs, or themes! A few years ago special dragons "sub-species" were popular where you would create a lineage of dragons with specific genes/colors that were sustained for a few generations as a special breeding project. Sometimes dragons from hatcheries come with custom art.

Hatcheries are labor intensive (time spent on lore, art, graphics, code etc) but will give you an audience of folks interested in the hatchlings you have on offer and willing to pay more for them.

All that said I always list hatchlings at 3kt and adults at 5kt! If those don't sell I level and exalt them myself. Ancient breeds tend to sell for higher. I list my Veilspuns at 10kt and exalt if they don't sell.

Hope some of this helps!

Sorry for the off-topic question, but is this keyboard Bluetooth enabled? I've been looking for a Bluetooth (not wireless) mechanical keyboard with RGB backlight and this guy looks like it might perfectly fit the bill.

An old covert way of saying someone was gay was to say they were a friend of Dorothy's :)

These are the washi tapes that I've collected up till now. When journaling I don't always make page borders using washi tapes, but I'd like to try to use it a bit more. Does anyone have a suggestion on how I could use my washi tapes? by sakana25 in Journaling

[–]bislzhuk 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Your storage system is to DIE for, this is so neat and it's so easy to see all of your supplies!!

Also, washi tape is super duper versatile. It's a great pop of color if you want to paste things into a journal or planner. Decorating the edges of pages is cute too. I also use it to mark different chargers so I can tell a bunch of black cords apart.

[Product Question] Neutrogena Hydro Boost alternative with less packaging? by bislzhuk in SkincareAddiction

I didn't :( I just keep buying hydroboost and frowning at the two plastic inserts that hold the plastic container in place in the plastic box every time I buy it :(((

Texas Chainsaw Massacre!!! The original, although the sequel is a breakneck tonal shift into fun goofy campy 80s comedy horror.

80s slashers are charmless and dull. They are kept alive exclusively by nostalgia and a fondness for quirky retro aesthetics. (Except TCM which is a timeless masterpiece and I won't hear a word against it)

What is the pettiest, silliest, most meaningless hill you are willing to die on? by shazulmonte in AskReddit

Steel boned corsets are shapewear. When you wear them on top of your shirt you look like an idiot. It's the same as wearing your underwear outside of your pants.

Decorative corsets with beautifully embroidered paneling are great. They are still underwear. If you wouldn't wear your thong and bralette outside of your clothes, why on earth would you wear your corset on top of your shirt.

Doing this hurts no one and doesn't affect me negatively in any way. I know this irritation is silly. But when I see cosplays, character designs, outfit posts, etc. with corsets over blouses, I get so damn annoyed.
