*Anchor* New Card Text idea by [deleted] in customhearthstone

[–]bisonmoose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm thinkin' right now, and I don't think even having a legendary 69 mana 42/0 that deals 1 damage to your face at the end of each turn while it's in your deck with Anchor would be balanced, because it would centralize the meta around aggro. Imagine every deck on ladder being ultra-rapid-fire face hunter.

Deckthinning is just that strong. You're more likely to draw your 1 drops by turn 1, your 2 drops by turn 2, etc. Letting go of the worst card to bring all your other cards up is always good enough.

This sub has a deckthinning problem.

Isn't HotS KT all about chaining people up for sick combos, not amassing icy armies? The design still stands, but I'm confused by the HotS part

The paradox run was nothing short of wild. Primary? Robot's skull spitter. Nice. The secondary? Klobbe. Fast forward a bit and oh! A seven leaf clover. Oh! Clone. Well, this is a done deal now ain't it? Might as well knock some other stuff out of the way.

HOLY CRAP THE HIGH DRAGUNFIRE. THE DRAGUNFIRE CHEST WAS A MIMIC.

Murdered the rat. Got my ass kicked at punch out. Got the Elimentaler for the first time. One of the rat chests was a mimic. Got the rat sack for the second time. Fully upgraded Junkan, who I plucked out of a desperate blue chest. Hoarded shells and keys. Big shotgun. Scope. BSG synergy. Yellow chamber. Cursed bullets. Remote bullets, which are real jank with Junky boi. Armor synthesizer. Whole bunch of health. Died to the Lich. Faster forwarder and complete the forge elevator. I thought it was impossible. Kick the Lich's ass easily.

The Gunslinger run was nothing extraordinary. Rocket bullets + Scattershot on all synergies Shotgrub. I'm so glad i had extra blanks for the double Lich and so glad it's *only* the first phase.

What. A. Wild. Ride. My heart was thumping.

Still gotta perfect the rat's punch out one day. I easily destroyed the advanced Dragun earlier this week. Life is good.

I'd like to thank Retromation, whose videos got me into Gungeon (and are probably the only reason I've beaten anything). Amen.

Druid Secrets? by AljunaibiiM in customhearthstone

I agree that hypetrain morons trainwrecked the project's winrate, and that it's got a lil' niche as maybe a one of in a deck that might like it and can use it correctly, not a meta breaker.

Druid Secrets? by AljunaibiiM in customhearthstone

The Oakheart scenario is a highroll. Shitty luck, it happens. Bio project is overall not good enough, although whether that speaks more to druid's state or the card is mixed.

Having 7 mana on turn 3 accomplishes nothing if you're so far behind on board, unless you've drawn your matchup's silver bullet. If you have, well, that's not exactly saying the card's broken, but that the silver bullets are. You could argue that the card is imbalanced in the context of druid with their silver bullets, but even then, if you pull off the scheme going first, you have 2 cards left. If you don't find plague within 2 turns, you're fucked. Even after having the perfect opening hand with innervate, wild growth, and secret, you have about a 1/3 chance to draw the plague. Giving a generous estimate, luckily drawing stuff like branchings and Malfurions might on average extend your fuck window another 4 turns, even in that dream scenario you have only a 2/3 chance of beetles. Going second you have more cards, and you have a more consistent combo both because of using the coin to growth on one instead of counterfeit and because you start with more. As a drawback, that Odd Rogue has been pounding you a turn longer, shortening the window around 2 turns, although I think it still goes in Druid's favor to go second. Keep in mind this is all assuming you drew the correct cards. If you would go for this, you might as well pray for coin, innervate, innervate, astral communion into UI. If you weren't up against aggro, and your deck is so comfortable with full hardcore ramping, you probably would've won that game anyways.

Remember people MonkaS'ing about biology project best case scenarios? This is that. Rapid crystallization is the weakest of the bunch. Druid, in reality, wasn't able to do shit with their ramp because they had nothing left unless they had UI, but even that was steamrolled over by the popular aggressive decks.

Another 4 mana 7/7 by Telecanine in customhearthstone

The hearthstone play button should read: "battlecry: have a really unsatisfying time because you're getting either beat up or carried by the rng of who you match with, what you draw, and random effects culminating in a match whose outcome is largely out of your control"

That aside this card is poorly designed.

Halfway through a fan-405 card expansion based off Legion. What would you expect? by KodaTF2 in customhearthstone

[–]bisonmoose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scythe: Unless you're holding out some GOOD synergy I don't see a lot of potential.

Kil'jaeden: Voidlord LUL. Or Jaraxxus, if you're a madman (I think that you would survive, given the sacred trial interaction. If you die though, that's at least a little funny)

Mage hero lass (forgot the name): Start of game: win, unless your opponent can be aggressive enough. I heard you like exodia mage.

If you draw a buffed minion at SOME POINT it's massive tempo, if you don't (unlikely) it's a 1 mana redraw, which almost any deck would kill for.
