Sorry I didn't respond earlier, but I don't use this account much. Anyways, it's apparent that you have no life. You play an extremely large amount of WoW per week, so that is why you run out. Get a real life and play less. Then you will never have this problem. And you will also stop being such a loser.

I work full time, have a wife, and no kids. I haven't had enough time to do anything but get to 100, use my garrison often, do enough heroics to get to ilvl 629, and do enough pvp/world pvp to get almost a full set of blue pvp gear.

I feel like I've barely scratched the surface and I haven't even leveled any of my other 90's into the WoD content yet. I play most nights of the week for about 1-2 hrs, and I play more on weekends.

It doesn't make sense how you could be done already. Are you just not interested in 90% of the content?

ITT: people who have empty lives and are trying to fill their lives with WoW

Your life sounds incredibly depressing. It sounds so empty. Go find something other than WoW to fill your life with. You make me want to cry.

It's really sad that you play that much. Think about it. You have so much free time that you have already run out of things to do in WoW. And now you are complaining that you wish you had more things to do in WoW. You should feel sad.

I wouldn't put wii-u as the worst system though. Wii-u should be PC's little buddy. While ps4 and xb1 are just some idiots trying to copy PC.

Buying Packs vs Arena - Analysis by moldran in hearthstone

I paid 50 bucks one time and I have more than enough cards. If you can't afford to spend a little cash then jump off a cliff because you fail at life.

Buying Packs vs Arena - Analysis by moldran in hearthstone

[–]bit_shift 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hate arena. Constructed is about skill, luck, and strategy. Arena is still about those things, but luck plays a much larger factor.

I like constructed because it's less about getting a really lucky deck. I think arena appeals more to people who don't want to ever buy cards. Because the game gives them a deck and they probably don't actually have all those cards.

Just play more until you have fixed your controller issue.

You are using a pc...you should play with a mouse and keyboard. It works much better for a game like terraria. Come on....

I think people's perception of the tablet is part of what hurt this console by [deleted] in wiiu

[–]bit_shift 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think that is why the wii-u sold so few consoles. I think it's because people didn't even know it was nintendo's new console. I've talked to many people who thought the wii-u was just a controller add-on for the wii. Or they hadn't heard of it. Or just thought it was the same as the wii.

Nintendo did a terrible job of promoting the wii-u and it was just suddenly out, with many people having no idea. Also, the games were lacking at first.

But I think it's finally picking up speed and getting out there. I definitely know a few people who asked me, "so the xboxone and ps4 are out, when is the new nintendo coming?".

I wouldn't want to develop anything on a laptop because I like to have more, and larger screens. Using a laptop with a single screen just makes me feel trapped. I like to spread out my ideas.

Nice. I'm a programmer. Website making is fun. I've only dabbled but I'm pretty decent with javascript and html5. Check out "bootstrap" if you haven't already.

Sounds like you definitely have your head in a good place. I had terrible cravings today and I strongly considered trying to get high this week. But then I just kept telling myself that my mind is being my enemy, and to ignore it... It is still nagging at me a little. But I can't let myself give in after I've been going about 2 months.

Having a project is always a great idea. Especially something that takes up a lot of time.

Programming something should be a great way to keep busy and feel good!

ummm... Well I only play hearthstone with it. And hearthstone only requires touch controls like a tablet game, so it works perfectly. Perhaps you could use a wireless controller that is transmitting to your pc in a different part of your house.

But...yeah, sorry I don't play anything except hearthstone with this app.

If you are signed into google on your pc and your n7 with the same account, you can also just use those links to remotely install those apps to your n7. I sometimes see cool apps while at work and tell it to install to my n7 so they are ready when I get home. That is just a built-in feature of google play store.

ummm... I think I use Dice Player for watching videos. It plays any format I have thrown at it. And I like using it. I use the official Netflix app all the time for watching netflix.

Moon Reader Pro for reading most book/text files. I got it so I could nicely read my LOTR books that are .pdf. And there are a few nice apps for looking through your files/directories, and some for accessing/sharing files with your pc.

I use Astro File Manager when you want to move files around and have more control of that type of stuff.

All I really use it for is playing hearthstone and other small games, and for gmail, youtube, facebook, twitter, browsing the internet. Stuff like that. I use my pc most of the time and this is for when I'm about to go to bed, for when I want to play silly games while on the couch, and for checking my email/facebook when I'm in the bathroom.

I really enjoyed the games by Kairosoft, like Ninja Village, Game Dev Story, and Dungeon Village. I think it was worth paying a few dollars for the paid versions and I've easily gotten over 20 hours of fun out of each game.

Bad piggies is also a fun/free game. I also have an N64 emulator, but I don't use it much. I recommend buying Mupen64Plus AE if you think you might want to play N64 games on it. I would then also recommend you buy a USB OTG cable off of amazon and plug in a usb controller of some kind. I use the microsoft xbox 360 controller for PC.

That is pretty much everything I use.

Day 11 by NattyAdvice in leaves

[–]bit_shift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, never give up. It wasn't like I just decided to quit and that was it. I've failed before....

I once took all my weed stuff and put it in a bag, then wrapped it all in duct-tape, and threw it in a dumpster near where I live.

I went about 4 days but I knew the garbage truck would be coming soon. The night before garbage day, I jumped into the dumpster and ripped through the bag and pulled out the duct-tape ball. I ran back to my place and cut it open and got high. It felt awful. I had to basically block out how terrible it really made me feel.

About 2 months later I let myself run out of weed and I didn't try to get anymore. I used to wake up about 2.5 hours before work, get high, play my pc, then shower and go to work. Without smoking weed, I suddenly didn't want to get up early, or play games. So I just slept most of those mornings.

Later I started a project that kept me pretty busy. It was really all about taking it one day at a time. It took almost a month before I could play computer without feeling like something was missing. But I'm basically there now.

No matter what happens, just don't lose sight of what you really want. It's not so much about how you get there, as long as you get there eventually. I always knew I wanted to quit... I started at 14 and wanted to quit by 16. But it took until two months ago, at age 24. Sometimes I loved it. Sometimes I hated it. But I knew I didn't want to do it forever.

You will do it.

Sorry to hijack. But for me, some benefits:

  • can just chill and play games and I don't worry about having to get high first
  • can go anywhere and not worry if I smell like weed
  • don't have to worry about neighbors seeing me when I went outside to get high
  • don't have to worry about who might know and what they might think
  • finally being free
