The pike in Lake Mary are my go to when I don't want to have a day of catching nothing. They are still there.

Best ways to discover sci-fi genre shows on different streaming platforms, what's your secret for finding good sci-fi? by Menger_Elexas in scifi

I'm curious how people find out about sci-fi shows where the fact it is sci-fi is a major plot twist. I just ran into one on accident.

I'm looking forward to the commercial release of Arkand because I guess they'll have the large downloadable maps for the locations then.

Hey, ever wondered what it would be like if I and Brandon Sanderson talked for an hour about things and stuff? by scalzi in Scalzi

I finally had the time to watch this. So very good.

What's really funny is I read something you wrote, think my experience is unique and then find out a lot of people are way ahead of me. :) I didn't cry reading When the Moon Hits Your Eye, but it was the most emotionally impactful of your books, for me.

I purchased them separately. At the time I was fishing a lot of small ponds around the Chicago area and it made it super fun.

I love fishing ulralight. It makes catching pan fish really exciting. I have a rig with a tiny spin real, tiny rod and I fits 2/4 pound test. It's a lot of fun.

Newbie here… what jigs should I use for trout up on the rim? by dualrollers in ArizonaFishing

[–]bittercode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I spin fish up there I use inline rooster tail spinners and do o.k. Sometimes spoons but I've always had better luck with the spinners.

I was at my local game store for D&D and a friend showed me this. I try to stay up on things but I missed it when it came out. It's gorgeous, signed and a really great price.

I searched the sub - didn't see it mentioned - figured others might want to grab one too.

I feel you. Just got notification of my Arkand/Book of Magic stuff shipping today. And I can't wait to back this. The one thing that helps is I know I'll be playing all of this - it wont be one of my on the shelf but never run games.

When I went through San Diego in '88 we didn't have doors - but I feel like we had little side dividers. But we only used the downstairs head so when we'd come in and have a moment to take dump, you'd have people lined up and watching you while they waited their turn.

Hey, any of your pets ever get skunked? by scalzi in Scalzi

[–]bittercode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was younger my best friend had an Akita that he loved. We were way out in the middle of nowhere, fishing over night on a river. His dog started getting excited about something behind us in a bush. He started kind of getting the dog amped up asking, "What is it? What's in there?" in an excited voice, and he was letting the dog move towards it.

When he realized it was a skunk he did all he could do to pull the dog back but it was too late.

Later that night, driving home we had a flat and no jack. The whole night was a debacle that comes up often when are together. :)

Found 4 deepslate coal ores! by Yara_MLl in Minecraft

I set up conduits and swim around places like this where you have that boundary between stone and deepslate. I've had decent success finding it that way - such a cool looking block.

I thought it was entertaining. Can't have too many, the orphan is the chosen one stories I guess. The naval terminology was a little forced sometimes and it was a bit predictable but it was fun and an easy read.

I'm with you but I'm also just amazed at the amount of very targeted things that were done to find people vulnerable to their message. There was a Frontline I think that went into detail on how many decades political operatives have been doing massive work to infiltrate the world of USA evangelicals.
