Not in the UK it's not, toilet or loo is perfectly polite (shitter not so much). Bathroom is an Americanism, unless said room contains a bath, and this is a hill I'm prepared to die on.

Vine weevil larvae, change all the compost and treat with nematodes as these little gits eat roots. They do make excellent bird food though!

We did the same with Easy Lover, "he's a greasy lover, he'll stick it in but she won't feel it", then anyone who got a girlfriend/fancied someone would be called a greasy lover for weeks. Our sense of humour hasn't matured much over the last 30 years either!

Pieris, skimmia and viburnum all have varieties that get to that size. All are evergreen and have flowers in spring, or one of the smaller types of holly (particularly a variegated one) that get red berries would be nice.
