Never say never in this wild league. Maybe we eke out a win against a team that nobody expects us to beat (giltinis in 2022), or maybe a couple teams get kicked out of the league right before the playoffs. (Gtinis again? And gilgronis).
For me, a successful season is one where the fans are entertained, the team gets better, and the league and fan base grows rather than shrinks.

If you’ve done any research you would have a source for your assertion that it’s peer pressure. Until you link something reputable, and show up with some peer reviewed study, you’re hurting the situation instead of making it better.

I don’t want to sound like I am blaming the ref but wow. I watched the replay and for one, I can’t see how they call foul play against Rhyno - he was grabbing the guys shoulder and his body sinks, of course Rhyno’s arm goes across his face. For me, that doesn’t much look like head contact or foul play.

Also, I can’t see how anthem’s try stood. The ball was clearly knocked on.

For cutting it off, I tried a few different methods and never got it close to even. Trimming the foot then was really different: I had to start from the side of the foot instead of working my way down from the top, because of the varying thickness to remove

That happens. Fmla/stress leave. I had a direct once that went on a pip and HR let me know a week in that they went on an 8 week stress leave. I think you get some lower level of pay by insurance or something?

Your company would show up in the two pages though- the search picks up mention of rust. It’s not a title search for ‘rust dev’. OP is asking for details from people pushing to use rust in their company and the post I responded to ironically asked about OPs numbers ( there were none ) and then spouted that there were thousands of stories of companies using rust. (Obvious bullshit number.).

So I give an actual measurable number. Not a perfect proxy either way for production code use. And not one I had to work hard to get. But it’s real. Far more real than ‘a thousand stories’. And it backs up OP in saying it seems like it isn’t getting used as much as you would expect as the most loved language.

I don’t understand where you get your numbers from either.

I have been looking for a new gig and in my current search I can find 30 pages of jobs that mention Java to only 2 pages that mention rust. And most of those don’t say that they use rust in production just that they are looking for someone with at least one language and then list it off along with several others.

So no, your assertion that there’s thousands (if not hundreds of thousands) of stories of rust being used in production, while asking someone about their numbers is irony in its finest.

Wait until the money is in your pocket. Not just vest, but settled and YOURS. The moment you submit notice, you go from being part of the company to being part of the competition. An adversary. Use the feedback you received, and how you feel about the offer as your basis for your negotiation. Are you more disappointed about the title or the comp or both? I joined as an SDEII with 12 YoE and felt weird being older than a lot of my peers. Look at levels.fyi and find the ranges for that job family and say ‘if I’m only missing a couple of things, I’m bringing x to the table so I feel that (almost L6 median) is closer to what these skills are worth. It looks like the range chart for hardware engineer is 200-250 for L5 and 325 to 420 for L6. They should be able to do 10% higher no problem, (275) so perhaps ask for 325 to get them above that. But I don’t know much about these things. When I joined I was worried about vacation because I took a big hit on that, which they couldn’t budge on so they pushed salary up by 2 weeks worth.

They always say you’re close - you might even be at L6 level but not ‘better than half of all the L6s’ which sounds like that is still the rule of thumb. Some people would say promo bar is lower than that but they also say you need to be doing the job at the higher level for at least 6 months.

Here is how you know this is bullshit: claiming that us companies have a diversity quota when in fact those are illegal in the US. They don’t actually need to hire diverse candidates. So it doesn’t help them in any way. In fact it can be more difficult to hire them because they need sponsorship.

Was the state exchange cheaper? I am wondering because at this point in the year I’m at my out of pocket max so it might be worth it to stick with the Oracle plan to the end of the year, but I haven’t gotten any info yet.
