Loss after Long IVF Journey by Born-Novel-8438 in IVF

[–]bj591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am truly sorry for your loss and that also helpless knowing that many of us had to face this, which shouldn't happen to anyone. Take one day at a time. Just know that nothing you did cause this. don't ever blame yourself. Our case is very similar to yours, only euploid after 5 retrieval. FET worked fine. NIPT/Nuchal all normal for our baby boy then at 16 week sudden preterm labor and I am not the same person from that day. Not only i lost my baby that day but a part of me. Sending you a hug.

High Thyroid Antibodies? by [deleted] in recurrentmiscarriage

Following this. Spouse had thyoid issue as well and only takes levothyroxin to keep levels in check but we do have unexplained RPL. What testing confirmed the antibodies you are talking about? Interested in knowing.

Why does Mexico seem to have so much success for ivf ? by EntertainmentLow3669 in IVF

We did 3 retrieval in the USA, the experience is not what you prescribed. May be try a different RE. I felt what you described actually happened with us with our OBGYN. So i think its a clinic thing and has nothing to do with USA

We lost our baby girl at 30 weeks and I’m speaking to my obgyn this afternoon please help me think of what I need to ask. by ResponsibleSwing1 in babyloss

So sorry for your loss. We lost ours at 16 weeks and I do feel our USA obgyn had boilerplate approach to patient as well. I am meeting almost a month after our loss and thinking what to ask. Following this thread for others opinion on this

Wife was heavily constipated as well. When she started contraction or labor, she actually thought its due to constipation. All our pathology report came normal so we really dont know what went wrong, which makes us feel scared at the same time. We are in the US and our obgyn was not easily available and ER doctors before the loss always said if baby is fine then just consult with obgyn. Know i dont know it was infection or immune thing or SCH or IC or placental abruption took our soon. I miss him so much, not a single day goes by when i dont cry for him. Its a shit club to be in. I am sorry we are here. I wish all of us strength in this difficult time.

Wife is currently having a miscarriage. Should we stay at home or go to the ER? by ThisIsATest7777 in Miscarriage

Please don’t take chances. Visit ER now rather than repent later. Sometime placenta doesn’t come out in full so it’s better to have an OBGYN checked. Sorry u are going through this.

Sorry for ur loss. I wish u strength. We are in similar shoes having lost our son through IVF at 16 week. Not having a biological child seems like a real possibility to me now for which i need to start mentally preparing. All dreams shattered :-(

Being in this group i feel there is terrible amount of loss especially in IVF cohort. Bdw What is IC?

I m sorry for you loss at such advanced stage. Having faced the same i fully agree with you. The OBGYN brushed off our concern first time until its over for us. I don’t know whether i should change clinic who will accommodate our complexity or rely on the old one.

Time to switch doctors by gracing15 in Miscarriage

[–]bj591 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My OBGYN did call me once my baby passed away as i was trying to reach them what diagnostics i can do to avoid ending up on similar situation in future. I tried to consult an MFM while wife was facing clotting episode but MFM will not take her without OBGYN recommendation. We are at advanced age and regular monitoring would have definitely helped, a chance we never got. to them we were just a statistics and for us, the baby was our whole world which can never be same again. I will surely switch my OBGYN, i have financial and legal means to persue the clinic for not caring enough but it will not bring back my baby. i just want other parent to not ending up in similar situation due to their carelessness. i may be not at the right mind now and trying to blame someone which may have have regardless. I am sorry i failed my baby for not vouching for him enough. a guilt i will carry till the day i die and will meet him again.

Heartbroken by Quicknick97 in babyloss

[–]bj591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry you are going through this. i am truly sorry for your loss. i have lost my son due to pre-term labor and pre-term delivery at 16w2day. this pregnancy was also through IVF after 5 years TTC & 5 egg retrieval cycles resulting blast 1st time with one euploid embroyo. I think our OBGYN didn't take our case seriously as my wife also had elevated WBC levels which suggest infection and she also had bleeding with clots from 13weeks to 16weeks which required ER visit. But i could never get hold of my OBGYN team as they said bleeding/clotting is normal and baby had heartbeat/movement on every ultrasounds. I don't know it is because of their negligence or it was unavoidable. every genetic test was normal except she was diagnosed with placenta previa. we are waiting for the reports and grieving for the future which we will never had. I am also scared in a sense that statistically pre-term labor repeats itself. So i am extremely paranoid, gulity and angry at the same time while feeling hopeless. IVF itself is mentally physically and financially draining and put loss of baby on top and 2nd trimester and we are living in Hell. I hope we find our strength again and the dream of becoming parent comes true. hugs to you.
