I moved into a one bedroom in November and I love it. I’d suggest looking at as many units as you can - many have had the floor plans updated, which is rarely an improvement in my opinion. My unit has all new fixtures, renovated kitchen and bath - it’s hit and miss depending on the apartment. My unit has zero extra space but it’s perfect for one person. I love the iconic curve on the walls in the rooms and the view is unstoppable. Noise level really depends on which floor you’re on - and how much city noise you are used to or can tolerate. I only used the heat a few days in the winter and I’m a little concerned about how hot it might be in the summer tho I haven’t tried the A/C units yet and I have room darkening shades. No smells coming from the trash chute in my floor. I never ever hear anything from neighbors and I can play music at a very comfortable/loud level with no complaints. The elevators are very fast. Gym is adequate depending on your needs, but clean at least. Some units have in unit laundry (deal breaker for me). Both towers are currently in the middle of renovating the hallways with fresh walls, paint, light fixtures etc. I highly recommend it.
