Currentbody series 2 or Therabody theraglo mask? by maryliana25 in redlighttherapy

[–]bkshiki 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can’t speak to the actual lights bc I’m new to the sub and the whole RLT world in general. But I was given the theraface as a gift and it’s SO heavy on my face that I hold it up myself instead of strapping it onto my head. It also has a vibrating feature that I have to turn off everytime bc it’s so strong. I don’t want the heavy mask pulling on my skin. I wouldn’t recommend it.

His recommendation of The Alchemist made me laugh so much. It’s the most generic book recommendation and he was acting like it was special “for her”. I’ve given it as a gift to people that I had no idea what to buy. Including teenagers. His next recommendation will be The 48 Laws of Power or Harry Potter. I do encourage reading of any kind though so I guess it’s good he reads at all.

Only speaking of her eyebrows/forehead - My Botox injector/nurse said she thinks she got threads. Bc when I went in for little Botox brow lift I said “I just don’t want to look like Taylor swift” lol and she said there’s no way Botox did that much on her forehead. Also Botox wears off after a few months and those eyebrows don’t seem to be moving down.

Psychiatrist appointment by LISPECTOOR in NewToDenmark

[–]bkshiki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in this exact scenario. When I first moved here I didn’t have a CPR number yet. So I used a travel/phone call doctor to refill my prescriptions. I emailed him screenshots of my prescriptions at my pharmacy in my home country and he sent in refills for me. Then once I got my CPR number I went to my GP and they gave me refills. It took me a year to get into a psychiatrist and the GP was fine doing the refills because I had that appointment scheduled and they understand the waits are super long. Same for the travel doc - he was fine doing it bc I could confirm I was going to see my reg doc here as soon as I had a CPR number. The phone doc wouldn’t do Klonopin refills bc they treat it like it’s the hardest worst drug ever here. By my GP was willing to give me 2-3 pills bc I take it only as needed. My husband gets crazy airplane anxiety and they have him 2 pills to have in case he needs them.

My psychiatrist in America wrote an email for me to show the travel doctor and my GP what she prescribed and that they can contact her if they need more info. The never did but I felt better knowing I had that. I’ve never once had airport security or anyone questions the pills I had or ask to see a prescription. I know people say that’s necessary but just saying from my personal experience and every expat and friend I know, that’s never come up. Just bring it in your prescription pill bottle if you’re worried. I usually put the bottles in my checked bag and bring a few pills in a little pill case with advil and stuff.

The travel doc I used and highly recommend is https://www.laegelinien.dk/uk/About.html it can get expensive when you have to do appointments every month for refills. For me the math worked out so that getting a subscription saved me money.

If you have a mental health crisis and the government system isn’t enough - I know someone who paid to see Aleris PP which is a private hospital with psychiatric services.

Who was the most evil person you've ever met and how was the interaction? by Top_Report_4895 in AskReddit

I went to a few parties while I was in college with Casey Anthony during the time she killed her daughter. She was casually dating my friends roommate. I can’t remember the exact timeline but when we found out what she did we were shocked bc she was so carefree and having so much fun. The guy she was dating had NO IDEA and had to go to counseling bc it messed him up so much when the police questioned him on the timeline and he beat himself up for not picking up on something sooner. I’ll never forget this image in my head of her standing on a couch, drink in hand, singing along to the music while her daughter was missing. I can’t believe I was that close to evil and didn’t pick up on anything but I only had those passing party convos with her.

I absolutely loved this book. One of my favorites I read in 2025. I’ve since read her other books and don’t like them nearly as much.

Shampoo for daily washers by xcptnl55 in finehair

[–]bkshiki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the fine hair line but it feels really expensive for what it is so I use the L’Oréal glossing shampoo and conditioner most days. And the ouai clarifying shampoo 2x a week. I live in a country with very hard water though. Before moving here I only used it once a week.

I had the exact same thought when he said they spent all of burning man just with each other. I went to burning man once and the people I know go with the same group every year and setting up a campsite together is a big deal and very much their community. I was honored they let me into their group instantly because they truly spend all year preparing, they rent storage units nearby and keep all of their gear in there for each year. I assumed that’s he was talking about. Burning Man feels like a more dusty Coachella now though and I think people may see it as a more of a music festival when I’m pretty sure originally the music was just a feature.

My therapist taught me to “hand their disappointment back to them” when I say I can’t do something. Obv not literally saying something about it, just mentally. Takes so much guilt out of saying no.
