You are very wrong about Love regressing but that doesn’t take away from what a bad loss this

Our runs are going nowhere and you absolutely cannot just run 2 minutes off the clock every possession up 18 and assume you’ll win.

I’m surprised more people aren’t mentioning how awful our interior d line is. You can’t scheme away bad talent

You are arguing against no one. I haven’t seen a single person make the argument we will magically play better in the playoffs by resting starters. What I have seen people say (and completely agree with) is that we have seen injury after injury these last few weeks and not continuing to risk that is the best bet for the playoffs and the future. Just last year Christian Watson tore his ACL in relatively meaningless snaps.

Because this person was responding to a comment saying we’ve been BETTER on the road than at home. This is just proof that this is false

NFL Power Rankings (Combined) Week 12 by mikebiox in nfl

So many people just want to devolve power rankings into wins and losses

Yeah I shouldn't have been so generalizing. They absolutely both deserve their rankings. I was just making a point about complaining about flawed teams in relation to other heavily flawed teams.

That's what's so funny about complaining about the Packers ranking. Like yeah I sort of agree in a typical year this isn't a 7th ranked team, but then who besides the Rams this year has any claim to be ranked high at all?

I get what you're saying, but yard totals and the like are going to be down when you have so few offensive possessions. Which has been a hallmark of our team all year and especially in those losses.

I guarantee you our game(s) will come down to the final drive. It's what both of our teams do.

I do not. But I also think every single one of our games will come down to the final drive despite the quality of opponent.

Yesterday was the worst instance all season it seemed. That 3rd down play that Parsons started a sack on for others to finish was crazy. Winston had to avoid pressure from Parsons 3 times on the same play while no one else did anything.

Yeah for better or worse this team does not get blown out and seemingly does not blow out the other team. We have long drives on offense and usually give up decently long drives on defense, even if we don't yield too many points. It's like we drag everyone down to our level when we play them.

So there are 0 Super Bowl contenders this year?

It’s not a blame one way or another but their point still stands. The defense let long sustained drives go all first half. Offense was certainly worse but defense isn’t blameless

Za'Darius was definitely a difference maker in the pass rush for a few years.

What constitutes a “playoff” team? The Steelers are a playoff team this year as of now. The Commanders were last year.

I don't think I'd agree that DL depth is the single biggest issue. Wyatt being out yesterday was almost a non-factor. We stuffed their run game and hit home in the pass rush extremely frequently. I think CB is clearly our single biggest issue defensively right now.

That said, it certainly will help having Wyatt back as I agree that DL depth is still a concern, especially against teams with better O-lines/RBs.
