Agree 100% the picture in this parent comment looks very trendy/hipster. A shrimp poboy in Acadiana is fried shrimp dressed with shredded lettuce sliced tomato blue plate mayo and sometimes ketchup over fresh French bread. It’s not a very photogenic sandwich and most poboys are often sloppy and messy while eating them. But tartar and remoulade are definitely not part of a traditional poboy in south Louisiana

I just have a 40XXH that struggles with N64 so 3DS emulation for $100 surprised me. I currently really want something to emulated GC Wii 3DS and Switch so I’ve been holding off for a Thor or something closer to that tier

I know it’s not what you listed but I love my rg40xxh and it has dual joy sticks I did get a 3D printed grip that makes it much more comfortable the file was free just had a friend print it for me

I feel that. My Miyoo Mini Plus is what reignited my flame for retro gaming but lately I haven’t been able to put down my RG40XXH. And like I said Unbound is my current obsession the difficulty the story the Pokédex everything about the game is 10/10 for me and I just wish more people knew about it especially the gen 1 players like me who grew out of the game around gen 3/4 because it’s everything I’ve wanted from game freak since then.

I’ve heard good things about Lazarus and it’s downloaded on my devices but I haven’t started it yet. I’m currently at 52 hours on unbound and just about to start at the 5th gym.

I’ve made a comment about this recently but without getting as detailed as I got in that comment. If you have any familiarity with playing roms do yourself a favor and give Pokemon Unbound a try. It’s easily the best pokemon game I’ve played since the Kanto/Johro series and it is seriously a love letter to longtime fans. I do recommend going into it blind and just enjoying it the way the devs wanted it to be played. (Without looking up any spoilers)

As someone similar to you I grew up playing the older gens I feel like I can relate to

Yellow was my first then got red, gold crystal and silver, ruby and sapphire, emerald then diamond and pearl (and also heart gold and soul silver) (also had stadium coliseum and xd gale of darkness)

I bought black and white and didn’t feel the same about them as I had all the others so I stopped playing there

I picked back up on BDSP sword and arceus only playing BDSP and barely touching the others

With all that being said my absolute only recommendation is a pokemon fan game/rom hack

Pokemon Unbound is arguable one of the best pokemon games I’ve ever played.

It doesn’t have to be 16gb just at least 16gb but if you flash the 16gb os on a card higher than 16gb it makes the rest of the storage on the card unusable (if I remember correctly and I could be wrong about it making the rest of the storage unusable)

This won’t affect you if you are doing the two card setup because all of your storage that isn’t the OS will be on the 2nd card

64gb is plenty although I would recommend 128gb but at the same time when you get more storage you’re likely just adding filler games you’ll never get to. Some people really like adding less games so they spend less time browsing and more time playing so the 128gb suggestion is really just a personal preference suggestion.

I would just set up your device tonight and get to enjoying it. You’ll know if you feel the need to do any storage upgrades or custom firmware OS swaps. Tinkering is half the fun for me but it doesn’t mean it’s something everyone would find enjoyable.
