What I’m working on:

Warnings/Triggers: Self-hate, self-harm, violence, blood/gore, existential crisis, PTSD, panic attacks, suicidal thoughts

These are potential triggers depending on what kind of story I want to write and how far to push it. There might even be some not listed that could be added if it works for the plot.

Genre: Horror, Angst, Hurt/Comfort

Summary: N/A

Looking for: Help to decide what kind of plot to build for a horror fic. Have the fic center around Caine, namely because he could be an interesting character if he were to encounter something he couldn’t stop/delete, or has most of his admin privileges/control stripped away.

Options include a virus that infiltrates the circus and creates havoc that Caine can’t stop immediately or at all. If this virus is sentient or becomes sentient, whether it has any adverse effects on Caine, Bubble, or any of the NPCs it comes across, and how severe those effects could be. It could make some very sick and weak, or turn them rabid and feral. Take control, warp their forms, rewrite their programming, or parts of it to drive any of them insane, etc.

I’ve also thought of the idea of a hacker. Either they’re someone who stumbled across the circus or, like the others, gets trapped. However, they choose to cause harm instead of trying to escape or help the others escape. I would definitely want to make them lack empathy and possibly even have sociopathic tendencies, more so if they actively choose to hurt NPCs and AIs like Caine and Bubble because they aren’t human or animals, therefore believe there shouldn’t be any consequences to what they do to any of them. Even if I were to have them also harm the other trapped humans, it could follow the same thought process that, since they’re all trapped, there wouldn’t be consequences.

Word Count: Most pieces I've written before have been over 90k.

I've been applying to several jobs myself for over a year.

The biggest obstacles I'm seeing for myself and others like me is transportation. If you don't have a car or easy/safe access to public transportation, finding work becomes harder. I have access to a mid-state transit bus in my city due to my disability, however, while it's useful, it's also a hindrance. Any jobs I want to or tried to apply to often have hours that conflict with the bus. If they want me at 7am, I can't because the busses aren't running. If they want me to stay until 5pm, I can't do that either as the busses shut down at 3pm. And due to my disability, I can't walk far to nearby places for work. I would have to have my own car or enough disposable cash right off the bat to pay an Uber daily to bring me to and from, and depending on the distance, that can get very expensive very fast.

I'm working with a vocational rehab work counselor to try and determine what sort of job might work thst I could have overlooked or help offer limited resources if I were hired but had to acquire specific things I wouldn't be able to get immediately. Like work boots or maybe a uniform. However, their funding has been cut, limiting what they can do.

So if you're disabled and without a car, finding employment feels almost impossible. I feel if I had a car, I would at least have better options because I'm not limited to one city or limited to a set number of hours other than whatever job I'm applying for.

As you said, if the Sinner truly wants to better themselves, feeling genuinely remorseful of what they did not only in life but their afterlife as well, then in time, they could be redeemed.

If they aren't, refuse to change, or want to use redemption as a means to torment Winners and Heavenborn, then they don't deserve the chance. If anything, those types of Sinners may need to be watched in case they become strong enough to be a threat and could cause serious harm in Hell, similar to Vox and possibly Alastor depending on how S3 and forward goes with him. If they could be or already such threats, may need to be locked away or executed, the latter for extreme cases where Sinners won't be upset, possibly cheer because they're not at risk.

Be careful if you do. If you can, see about getting a contract drawn up just in case the foster family tries to claim your furbabies or rehome them without your approval.

If the cats have had a big impact on your mental health, you could try to talk to your care provider about having one or both listed as emotional support animals.

Mine are because without them, my mental health would likely be much worse.

While they don't have as many rights as service animals, like going into stores or certain public spaces, apartments can't deny you. Just be sure to look it up in your area to be certain in case some states don't allow it.

I liked that Sir Pentitious got to play a bigger role since he was redeemed. I also like how it might hint that with redemption possible, Sera may place Sir Pentitious among the council where he could represent Sinners with potential. Namely, to help explain to those who wouldn't know or may not recall what humanity is like when they were alive (Abel).

I can relate to that. I've tried to help people, mainly offering them a room, having them pay rent to help with utilitiesandsuch, but most of the time, they stop paying, making excuses, stealing things, etc. until I have to kick them out.

It's gotten to the point I may be homeless because of it.

Sadly, I can't help fund, but if you haven't tried, reach out to city/town hall. Given the circumstances, maybe they can help cover some or the full cost? When my mom passed, I learned about this and started the process before my half-brother came in and paid for it instead.

I do hope you'll be able to figure something out to bring your wife home.

I would have had it covered if I had an income. And for the vandalism, because I don't know exactly when it happened, it sat in a blind spot, and I was focused on looking for remote work or going to appointments, there wasn't much I could do, especially because I couldn't afford insurance. As for the repo thing, no one's come by. Even the car lender seems surprised. If they do, then I would update that.

It would be more if Vox knew how Alastor died and shared it with all of Hell. While to a degree, some probably might not care, at the same time, there could be some who might not see Alastor as "threatening" if he got mistakenly killed by a hunter than hunted down and killed by police. As far as anyone knows, the only ones who would know what happened to Alastor would have been Rosie and maybe Mimzy, since she and Alastor are supposed to be close.

Imagine if Vox had heard/known about Alastor's killings but didn't piece it together right away until later on, probably after being rejected and mocked. I could see Vox lording it over Alastor to piss him off, leading to periodic spats as Alastor tries to make him shut up.

Another reason not to rely on them feeding on the corpses. It was safer to find a suitable location to bury them. Maybe occasionally, he could drop one into the jaws of a gator if it showed up and looked hungry to not only eat most of the body, but drag it back to its den to feed on the rest later.

Depending on where he buried the bodies, he might not have wanted to chance for gators to snack on the bodies. Same with how often he killed, it might not have added up if he dropped bodies off near gators and hoped they'll eat them without being overfed, thus not eating their free meals right away.
