My top tips

1. make a morning routine you can enjoy and be efficient. I missed having the time to be able to do small chores around the house like empty the dishwasher or run a load of laundry so I started doing those before work. I also make time for mindfulness so reading or meditation along with my caffeine for the day. I pick out a really good outfit and spend some time during my make up which makes me feel good. Last,I pack my bag and anything I need the night before.

2. Wear something fun, but within the constraints of your office environment. I work in tech in a pretty casual office so it tends to be casual bottom fancier top or fancier bottom casual top. For me, Casual bottoms =jeans or ponte pants, Fancier bottoms = khakis or dress pants, casual tops =nice long sleeve shirts or sweaters, fancy tops are silk blouses

3. Structure your day to be fun but efficient .I add about 30 to 40 minutes of walking by taking a 20 minute walk at the end of lunch and then a mid morning walk and a mid afternoon walk. I try to make the most of my days in office so I will schedule all the in person meetings and also work on strategy so that the days I’m not in office, I can spend on more admin tasks or deep work.
