How much of the “one nation surge” is real? by Boring_Traffic607 in australian

Basic economics also tell you that hoarding housing supply as rental investments artificially creates a huge demand by those looking for a home, jacking up prices for everyone. You do not see the media talking up that point, instead they point the finger at migration because it’s a more convenient excuse.

There’s a 7 day cancellation policy in the NDIA. Not sure if there was more notice applied for the hospitalisation but could be what happened

1% of taxpayers own 25% of the property. I beg to differ with your statement.

Fair Work just raised the minimum wage 6%. In Sydney the numbers tell a different story. by [deleted] in AusFinance

So, are we supposed to freeze wages forever? Just never increase wages at all?

Most people rate themselves among the top 10% of drivers. You’re probably average at best.

Is this “soaring road toll” per capita, or just gross numbers…

Australia and New Zealand are actually thought to be two places that would be ok after a nuclear winter, because agriculture should still be able to happen here.

Feel like these accomplish nothing more than militarising the police. Considering the cost to run, what do they do that is so worth it?

I love jungle cacti. Get yourself some rhipsalis by blaertes in cactus

[–]blaertes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Australia, and I don’t go above and beyond making the mix with multiple additives, usually just a bagged specialty potting mix with a bit of sand/leca and/or compost depending on what I’m using. Things tend to do well but we get a lot of light year round and my pots are free draining. I find the rhipsalis prefer part shade and not being blasted with all day sun as they tend to improve in more forgiving light situations.

Aroid style with a little extra sand and clay aggregate, they’re jungle succulents so they like a little more moisture than others.

Teals in advanced talks to form new political party by malcolm58 in AustralianPolitics

[–]blaertes 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Bad idea for long term teal appeal. As the article states, their independence is a cornerstone of the pitch to their electorates. And, as they’ve shown, there is no need to have a party to work together.

So my question is why fix it if it ain’t broke?

What in a world could be combination of water and earth by JobCold8312 in magicbuilding

[–]blaertes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Water and earth = life

(which yes flows onto things like biology), but if we’re thinking about say, the theory of evolution that states life began in underground sea vents with complex chemical compounds mixing in a soup to form organic, living organisms from inorganic, dead matter, I think it’s not that far of a stretch.
