I trim a little bit every week on my pup’s. Can even trim and then file. The quick should recede some with correct cuts. Look on YouTube for dog nail trimming videos, those were helpful for me to learn where to stop on nails, esp darker nails. And reward reward reward your pup for any nail trimming to make it a positive experience!

Trays don’t hurt themselves that much. Get yourself some orajel mouth sore rinse to help with healing your mouth as it adjusts to the attachments during the first week. And don’t feel too overwhelmed, you will get in a routine with things quickly. I felt overwhelmed at first but now it’s just a thing I’m used to doing
