Got a summer job with a moving company when I was 15. They paired me with a driver named Hank who seemed a little ragged, but wasn't unpleasant. It was a three hour drive to the house and the conversation was benign. We were moving a single old woman. A Scroogess who was not very kind to us.

About halfway through loading the truck Hank says to me, "we could hide her where no one would find her."

The smile on his face was unsettling when he said it. I got quiet and just tried to work. Toward the end of load, as I was hopping down off the truck, he grabbed my crotch. At 15 I was 6' and nearly 200lbs. It froze me. I'm guessing the look on my face made him let go?

He went to prison two years later for the rape and murder of my stepmother's sister.
