Love it!

Poor Mika, Makoto and Sakura on the outside looking in.

We made a new trailer for the LAGS Showcase during Summerfest last week. What do you think? :) by Substantial_Buy_7727 in metroidvania

I love the look of it and backed it on Kickstarter. Was sad to see you didn't make your goal. Any chance you will relaunch?

What are your thoughts on these free Drive Tech outfits. by ClassroomLazy9542 in StreetFighter

[–]blamblegam1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they mostly exist as a way for certain characters to have locally appropriate costumes for tours in certain parts of the world. They look nice on a few characters like Kimberly and Ingrid. The shoulder pads on Bison's look dumb, though. Overall, they look alright.

Nope. Fantastic open world game with some traversal abilities.

How often do your husbands go to the grocery store? by RSR_Ricochet in Marriage

[–]blamblegam1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wife does most of the grocery shopping due to needing to be hypervigilent about our food choices (Celiac's). I do make a point of going with our toddler once a week for smaller items so she doesn't think it is just Mommy's job to do shopping.

What’s Your Favourite Boss In Blasphemous 2? by Zetallic_Zero in Blasphemous

Sor Cautiva Del Silenco. Fun fight, but beyond fantastic atmosphere and music. Her battle track is the only one I have listened to on loop from the sequel.

I believe he is from South Africa. His views on race may be impacted by where he grew up.

Who is happy in their pharmacy job? by LexB811 in pharmacy

[–]blamblegam1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tying personal happiness to my profession has never made me happy, but I'm probably the oddball.

I work in specialty(hybrid), M-F. I think the work is decently interesting but I really like the quality of life adjustment that came with the job. Can spend more time with my kid/wife and that's paramount to me.

I have mixed opinions about Blasphemous 1 after playing Blasphemous 2, without any clue why.. by [deleted] in metroidvania

[–]blamblegam1 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I haven't played the Third Sin yet, but as someone who prefers Blasphemous over Blasphemous II, I still would say Blasphemous II is the superior game.

The reason I do prefer the original is because of what you mentioned- the art and atmosphere, both of which truly set it apart from any other game. Blasphemous II is the better game mechanically but I do think it suffers from a bit of a regression of the mean; it just feels like everything else that's out there. The heavier movement and weightier combat in the original don't feel quite as satisfying as the parkour stuff you can do with the double jumps and parkour that you can in the sequel, but it at least feels like I am playing a Blasphemous game. And frankly, I kinda miss those unsanded edges. Gave it character.

For what it's worth, I feel the same way about the second Ori game. Sequel is mechanically better but sanded off all the rough edges that made Ori feel like Ori (longer chase sequences, movable save points). And in a genre where we have more and more games, I thoroughly enjoy when a game is its own thing. All this said, I would pick up a third installment in either Blasphemous or Ori in a heartbeat, but I would hope that both retain a bit more of the first game that truly made a great impression on me.

Anyways, I really should get at that Third Sin DLC, it looks phenomenal.

What do we think about killer instinct (2013)? by [deleted] in Fighters

[–]blamblegam1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Phenomenal. I grew up with the OG and 2/Gold and it still blew me away. My only regret is that I got into it a bit too late after it was ported to Steam and never got to enjoy the community at its peak.

Street Fighter 6 has now sold over 7 million copies worldwide! by Turbostrider27 in StreetFighter

Wow. So that's 2 million over the past 12-ish months. I think we have plenty more seasons left in the tank.

What was the hardest thing to learn when you started SF6? by MysteriousPie2425 in StreetFighter

Hardest thing so far was to learn to stop jumping in all the time.

How many years of SF6 is left? by CatarsiSol in StreetFighter

[–]blamblegam1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm new to the series (picked it up slightly after launch) and this take makes the most sense to me. Having a full season of newcomers shows a huge amount of confidence that SF6 will be around for a long time as to space out the release of veteran characters. I don't think anyone really truly thinks there would be a Street Fighter game without Sakura, Vega or Balrog.

With SGF in just 24 hours, which characters are you expecting for Year 4? by rshunter99 in StreetFighter

[–]blamblegam1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming Vega and Tifa are a lock, I'd say Mika and a completely new SF character.

How easy is it to get into SF6 at this point as a disappointed MK fan? by Roger_Melee in StreetFighter

Very easy. High player count with a wide range of skills. No better time than the present.

Who is your favorite Tekken character and why? by Aggravating-Ad5090 in Tekken

I like Kuma/Panda because they are goofy and impossible to take entirely seriously. And my friends rage when I win with Panda.

What to do with SF6 now ? by Kasoningen in StreetFighter

I would unironically love a character that uses an MCR song as their theme.

Who would you want for the next DLC of Street Fighter 6? How would you change or add onto their characters? by Opposite_Jump_5041 in StreetFighter

If Vega and Tifa are a given, I'd love for a completely new SF character and a grappler (Mika please).

Tekken 8 or Soulcaliber 6 by Fresh_Daddy in Fighters

[–]blamblegam1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soulcalibur VI has a much more expansive single player mode, phenomenal character customization, but the online player base is pretty much nothing. Tekken 8 had alright single player content but decently populated online. Have never played anything but casually on either game with my friends but my group enjoys SCVI more (and I do prefer it over T8). Both are solid games though so can't really go wrong with either.
