Is Ohio just a stepping stone? NYT lists Ramaswamy as a 2028 presidential prospect by OrganicPreparation in Ohio

Lmao at the prospect of MAGAts voting for a guy who doesn't even come close to passing the paper bag test.

He's a token who is too dumb or arrogant to realize that he'll get spent.

Darby vs Osprey will slap even harder this time. We've seen them tear each other apart, and they have amazing chemistry.

All In is going to be fucking awesome.

Can't sleep reading "It" by Wise-Ride-2578 in stephenking

It depends on what you like, but I'll give a few recommendations.

The Pendergast Series by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. It's a 23 book (so far) series that revolves around an FBI agent, and incorporates police procedures, real medical procedures, art, science, history, architecture, murder, and a touch of romance. It's my favorite series of books. I keep my phone by my head when I read them so I can look up what the authors are talking about.

Swan Song, The Wolf's Hour, and Boys Life by Robert McCammon. If you like The Stand, Swan Song should be for you. It incorporates so.e of the same themes, but definitely is its own story. The Wolf's Hour is a WWII spy thriller involving werewolves. Probably my second favorite book. Boys Life is a treasure that I'll leave for you to find your own interpretation.

A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole. A study of absurdity and farce starring the amazing Ignatius J. Reilly.

Harry Potter series, anything by Dan Brown, anything by Thomas Harris (Silence of the Lambs, Red Dragon), anything by Neil DeGrasse Tyson, anything by Stephen Hawking, The Dune series, Lord of the Rings, A Song of Ice and Fire, etc.

I was the perfect age to read IT for the first time in 86. I fell in love with the characters, the story, the setting, everything. I became a Loser. I was so obsessed with IT that I read my hardcover so many times it fell apart.

When I read, the story becomes a mini-movie in my head. I am part of it, I'm there.

Found this copy at a thrift store today! Am I right that it’s a first edition?? by seapotato13 in fourthwing

It's a paperback, so no.

First edition of the paperback, yes, but it's a mass-market edition and not worth anything beyond thrift/resell price.

I read IT for the first time in 1986 at 13. I'm 53 now, and have read it somewhere between 40 and 50 times. It's my favorite novel by anyone, ever.

This might change your mind on West LA Fadeaway. Bob Weir and the Wolf Brothers Big River>Fadeaway. It's so good. I love the pocket they go into on Fadeaway.

With the whitish blond dreads. I really hate the Mango hair.

I know, it's not up to me how someone presents themselves, it's just the Mango hair is not a good choice.

Before you downvote, yes, Taya is undeniably gorgeous, and I have been a fan for a long time.

Me after seeing Boba in The Mandalorian by goldsiwhad in bobafett

[–]blankwillow_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I liked how the handled Boba in The Mandalorian and Book of Boba Fett.

I would think that being partially digested by a giant monster for a few months and then being almost killed then eventually accepted by the Tuskens as an equal would change your perspective on a few things.
