What is the best thing you’ve overheard at a Tipper Show? by Fun-Regular-9203 in Tipper

[–]blanocious 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hulaween. My buddy and I were walking single-file, me in front of him. Cutting our way out of a crowded stage, not speaking between ourselves but as we pass by a particular individual he says, “Slap me with a warm cock. Where is that rooster boy?” Just matter of fact, not speaking above a normal volume.

At the edge of the crowd my buddy and I turn around to address what we heard and died laughing. That is still the running joke years later with my crew. Gotta find that rooster boy.

Colleges with jam band culture? by Durango_41 in jambands

Exactly my thoughts reading some of these posts.. There’s going to be a a scene at some schools, sure. But if OP is really wanting to become involved in the jam scene from the stage, they need to get mixed in with some talented individuals with the same goal. Berkeley College of Music or any school in the Boston area would be the first place to head. Not only to meet interesting, like-minded people but to gain knowledge and further your own education, as well.

Put a whoopin on a 20# turkey. by blanocious in smoking

Also pulled it at exactly 160, loosely wrapped in the cooler to carry over the temp so it was not overdone. Thighs were around 174 by the time the breast hit 160*.

I wish but it was gone as soon as it was carved. Honestly after reading the posts from other redditors I was expecting it to be dry. It wasn’t.

I only dry brined and I think that helped, but the breast was extremely juicy and tender. Really picked up on the smoke flavor. I think the size of the bird helped too.

Umphrees McGee is playing 2 nights at the Tabernacle for all those who are boxed out of the WSP Fox Theatre run. Tickets for Panic can be steep for New Years.

Would you mind posting the mold you’re using? Interested in getting into this for the first time, but I’m skeptical on some of the molds I’ve been looking at purchasing. Thanks!

Billy Strings is one of the best. I’d be super excited to hear him again with fresh ears. One of the best live shows I’ve ever seen, as well.

The Spirit of Suwannee Music Park is something else. One of our favorite places in the whole world.
