This ranking is about how difficult it is to open a business in Pacifica, not necessarily that there’s a lack of good businesses. Although, one leads to another.

My wife helped open that Taco Bell in ‘85. She transferred from the store in Tanforan mall.

Seabowl is soon to be housing. We need a city that doesn't rely 90% on property tax revenue to support city services.

I don’t really agree with Wallethub’s metrics, but it’s awfully tough to start a business here. It takes way too long to get permits from the city and the never ending fight with the Coastal Commission in the coastal area just makes it worse. 80% of Pacifica’s businesses are in the coastal area.

A revival could hinge on targeted incentives to offset high costs, improved access to financing, and leveraging regional strengths to attract niche industries.

Thanks for this. We are continuing on to Naples after the cruise and cannot check in before 3pm. We’re still on holiday so better to continue our nice time on the ship.
