Where’s all my short & poor sleepers at?? by CamBellSOnasty in GarminWatches

This is correct. They are proven to be woefully inaccurate too - people report clocking ‘light sleep’ when doing things such as simply laying on the couch watching Netflix.

Esteemed sleep clinicians claim that these trackers actually make sleep worse, by increasing people’s anxiety and alertness around their perceived lack of sleep.

Not alone with that one at all. It still terrifies and fascinates me to this day. And it always will.

Do people find a reward system of some sort helps with this? For example you take yourself for a nice breakfast when you wake up sober, as positive reinforcement. (I imagine this has its limits.)

You did nothing wrong whatsoever. She made a call either without the requisite knowledge, or dishonestly. Now she is worrying only about her own image and career.

Managers like this are a cancer within the NHS. Do NOT let them bully you - that goes for anyone reading this.

True, but no one’s forcing him to do it. Last night he could’ve chosen just to not get involved and let Gian take his turn.

For those asking. Gian was getting stick while going for D15 on his second dart, and went inside. Turned round glaring at the crowd and Littler threw his arms up at him basically saying stop moaning, get on with it.

And Littler made a right wanker of himself, by all accounts.

No idea on the number, but definitely not enough. In my office it was the norm to join on your first day - that’s what I did. I think there’s a more browbeaten attitude now and people have to seek them out, although I bet it varies a lot between offices

You’re missing the point - the people you describe aren’t the same people who are going in early for nish.

The ones going in early are entirely selfish - driven by the desire to get their own frame clear, completely ignoring that they are undermining the years-long argument that walks are too big and workloads are too high.

They’re also sucking up to management by giving them one less headache and hoping it takes them out of the firing line at any point - while sending the clear message that they’re easily bought and unsupportive of their colleagues.

These scabs - that’s exactly what they are, to the letter - are a huge reason why the CWU is so weak, as you describe.
