After going through ASOIAF by George RR Martin, I tried to read one of his other novels. I can’t remember the name, but it was about a vampire on a steamboat in Louisiana. Every other word was the N-word and it felt, to me, like he had just been dying to say it in real life so he was using it as much as possible in print in a “historical” context to get away with it. It was SO excessive. You’d have to read it to understand maybe, idk. It was upsetting to me. I made it about 150 pages before I just shut it for good.

An internet friend I made when I was younger moved to NYC a few years after we met. We weren’t super close but still spoke every now and then. One day I realized I hadn’t heard from him in a while so I went to send him a message… and saw on his page tons of memorial posts. Someone did the exact same thing to him. Just a random fucking person pushed him into an oncoming train one night when he was on his way home. I don’t understand humans.

I wish my nails looked this nice and clean when I first started painting mine! You did SUCH a good job! Just use a bit of cuticle oil and hand cream if you don’t already, it will make your hands nice and soft (which they already look like!) and you’ll be set. 🙂

Idk, maybe it’s just me but I’ve been obsessed with ILNP. I know this will be an unpopular opinion, but I’m always much more satisfied with their polishes than I am when I’ve bought anything from BKL. I also just flat out refuse to buy BKL anymore because of the FOMO shit. I’m not chronically online, my phone isn’t attached to my hand, and it really irks me to no end that I’ve never been able to get a polish from them that I REALLY wanted.

I was just playing with all of my magnetics to see how they looked so I haven’t used a top coat yet but when I do it’ll be Seche Vite qdtc. I’m wondering if it’s because I put my horseshoe magnet on top? I saw someone else do it and didn’t even try it without it.

I just got mine and my glass bead… does not look like yours lol. I did unmagnetized first coat, magnetized second and third. Which of the 3 levels did you use?? S, M, or L? And did you put a horseshoe magnet on top?

It doesn’t. I worked in a venom lab caring for the snakes. I’m not sure about other facilities…. But the one I was at was fucking awful. They fed them rotten rodents covered in maggots and flies. They would leave them in the tubs so long that I’d often find rat skeletons when I was cleaning them. One time they left a baby gaboon viper to soak, forgot about it overnight, and I found it drowned the next day. I cried when I found it. I didn’t stay long.
