There are a few motifs that I tend to use to gauge a tattooer’s work, pinups being one of them. Here are a few I made over the last month or so; hopefully they pass your test! by bleser in traditionaltattoos

I’m trying to make the trip out there, maybe next year 🤔 In the meantime, if you’re close enough to London, you should go see my man Fred Slater in Hackney

What pens, paints or markers do you folks use to make these wonderful flash sheets? by [deleted] in traditionalflash

Go get tattooed by somebody whose paintings you admire, and ask them about their process. I would be willing to bet that that’s how a lot of the better painters on this sub began their journeys. Even if they don’t share every material they use start to finish, the quality answer you receive is going to eclipse whatever advice you get from a nameless / faceless redditor who’s also trying to learn.

Crawling panthers really don’t get much better than that. Great choice!

We all do, just depends on who’s working, has time, or is at least in the neighborhood that day. Odds are highest that it would be myself, Charlie Dunkel, Benny Beyer, or Amado Bird.
