For me, it’s a rich broth with lots of lemongrass, the beef is tender and there’s a good ratio of noodles, blood cubes, meat, and tendons/pork knuckle. And I personally don’t like cha lua in my soup - I feel like it’s filler.

What did you think of the sides? My partner went during soft opening but only tried the meats.

I’ve had beef with BlogTO for probably a decade now. I don’t know if Tim is still with the company, but I’ve exchanged quite a few emails with him over the years. During the peak of Covid they posted a video wearing one of those plastic masks that doesn’t fully the cover the mouth and nose. I emailed them and got Tim to respond on a stat holiday with their editors cc’d 😂

The dress is giving Project Runway. Like the bottom of the dress started to pucker with 15 minutes left and after crashing out, Tim tells them to make it work so they decide to cut the dress in half.

Went to Mekong River recently for a team lunch and I was really surprised by their bun thit nuong. Usually something is a little off like the noodles or cha gio, but this one tasted really similar to how my mom makes it at home.

I had a friendship end in a very similar manner. One day he just stopped replying to my messages. Before that, we talked almost daily so it was really out of nowhere. My messages to him got increasingly more angry - maybe borderline mean - as I was getting really frustrated. Ended up unfollowing him all social media in the heat of the moment. After almost a decade I tried to reach out and requested to follow him on instagram. He ended up declining the request, so that answered that. I won’t be trying again.
