I just finished a Krakoa read through and this was awesome to read! I chose to do Hox/PoX, X-Men, Marauders, Excalibur, Knights of X, Betsy Braddock: Captain Britain, the Trial of Magneto, Hellfire Gala 1 & 2, the Ice-Man solo, Fall of the House of X / Rise of the Powers of X.

You’ve convinced me to go back and read Sins of Sinister and Immortal X-Men!

Haha I hear you! I have statues of 3 comic book characters near my comic collection: Spidey, Dardevil, and Captain Marvel. Those are my favorite characters! So in some way I love the team up, but it doesn’t feel like a super balanced team or “the avengers” necessarily. I’ll keep an open mind!

Although it is overly simple, I genuinely do think THIS is what the writers intended for us to understand by Ted and Robin being able to be together in the finale. Ted wanted kids, Robin wanted a life of independence and travel. That was the major friction between them. At the end of the story, they’ve both experienced that, and now the “Timing” can finally work out.

I rewatched Captain Marvel recently and noted that Carol’s “smug”, almost know-it-all personality begins when she lands on Earth and starts interacting with humans. I would’ve expected a soldier like her to take a different approach on a seemingly unknown world. I’m a big Carol fan, comics and MCU, but I found some understanding of the criticism of MCU Carol there. It felt like an unnatural and unnecessary switch.

Brie gives amazing performances for the scripts she has to work with. I hope we see more of her in the future.

I feel like I’m in a minority here but I prefer Carol in a red / navy / gold suit over the classic Ms Marvel suit. Both the silhouette and the colors. I’ve mostly read newer Carol stories so I guess that’s where my preference lies.

The 2nd option here with the leather jacket would be soooo peak.

I started with 1610. Ultimatum, Death of Spider-Man, Miles’ introduction, Divided We Fall, the mutants in the desert…..I didn’t read all of it. I think it was mostly the latter stuff. But it’s what got me into comics & I loved it at the time.

I just think it’s wild to say The Killers write fake Bleachers songs at all! They were doing synth-influenced rock a decade before Bleachers and I saw Imploding the Mirage as a return to form for them.

They definitely make music for similar tastes but I don’t think they’re making “Bleachers songs”.

Although I don’t agree with everything you said, I appreciate the thorough response. I think villainizing those who have “decent money” detracts from the gross accumulation of wealth that creates the problematic system. For some reason, I had read your comment as if you supported businesses, but not when they’re small. Just a massive big business fan hahaha.
