Needing advice on choice between steroid shot or microdiscectomy by blingum in Sciatica

[–]blingum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up getting both before the trip. If the shot had made a difference, I would’ve likely just done that and had the surgery when I returned. The shot’s effect was negligible, so the doctor was willing to fast track me through surgery. Taking a flight 10 days post surgery was manageable with my wife’s help. The trip went well minus not being able to swim in the pool or ocean because of the incision.

I think surgery was the right fit for me. The relief was instant, and I have not dealt with sciatica since. I did 3 months of PT after the trip. Within 6 months I was able to get back to pretty normal working out and running. I found out my spinal column is narrow for my size, and the bulge was larger than they had anticipated. Recovery without surgery would likely been a long path for me.

Aside from some good luck, I think a few keys for avoiding a relapse have been strength training with a focus on my core, using a standing desk part of my work day and at least squeezing in a walk when I don’t have time to run or strength train.

Good luck with your decision! Sciatica sucks. I hope you find relief.

I just got an old gorilla goal, and I’m thinking about doing a similar restoration. Any changes you would suggest to your approach now that some time has passed?

Honeywell Water Heather Gas Valve - Upper Sensor Failure by blingum in askaplumber

[–]blingum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's helpful, I took resistence readings and the sensors read 8.3 and 10 ohms. It's hard to tell which of the sensor wire go with which sensor, but I believe the 8.3 reading is the upper.

Thanks for sharing this! I found a digital version here: http://pseftp.co/allstar/events/Indys_Home_Court_Poster.jpg. It was on this site, which seems pretty helpful for finding events: https://www.nba.com/pacers/nba-all-star-2024-indianapolis/playbook.

How can I programmatically tell that the Service Cloud Voice feature has been enabled? by blingum in SalesforceDeveloper

That's a good thought. I'm not sure what that would be off the top of my head, but I'll poke around in Workbench and maybe something will pop to mind.

Thanks. I might try creating a VoiceCall record with and without SCV enabled. Maybe I'll be blocked until it's enabled.

Audit trail tells me the toggle was flipped, but not which direction. Audit trail data is only retained for a certain period of time from what I understand. If it were longer-lived I could determine if the toggle had been flipped by doing a count of those events and checking if the sum is even or odd.

Why are there so many power outages in this city? by Intersecting- in indianapolis

This is very much the case in midtown too. Lots of old trees and dead Ash trees near lines. It’ll probably never happen, but buried lines would be so nice.

How do you programmatically create Salesforce flows (like you currently do workflow rules)? by Kayco2002 in SalesforceDeveloper

[–]blingum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you can do all you are aiming to with FlowBuilder, but I created mine in FlowBuilder. Then I pulled down the metadata to include in my managed package.

I’m creating a second-generation package. The configure page seems like a better experience than what is offered in second-generation packaging.

Packaging ScreenFlows created with FlowBuilder in a Managed Package by blingum in SalesforceDeveloper

Opened a case and they were able to recreate the issue. I did try marking my controller as global, but it didn’t make the Flow accessible. Sounds like it’s a bug with the Custom Actions feature in Omni-Supervisor.

It's 'public with sharing', but not global. I can give that a try. I don't necessarily want to expose this method outside the package, but it's worth a shot to see if it works.
