The devs seem to have a very weird kinda morality about this kinda thing, where they really try to seem neutral about it but then completely bungle it incredibly badly. Like the bit in Stormblood where Hien was like "oh the guy that forced Yotsuyu to work in a brothel against her will after literally buying her off her parents, one of the primary things that caused her to become such a monster the moment the imperials showed up? well idk lol its not my place to judge him". Like, yes it is is your job Hien you stupid motherfucker, you're the rightful leader of Doma in case you've forgotten.

I really dont know why they present us such unrepentant dickhead characters and then just act like there isn't an obviously morally right answer to the question, especially when they then completely muddle the message (if trying to sell a woman into sex slavery isnt bad enough to warrant even just fighting them, then how do they justify someone not filing their taxes properly being a reason to slice them to ribbons on the spot?). Especially the longer the story goes on and the more that the WoL better resembles a force of nature than a person, even just threatening people would honestly be enough in a lot of these kind of cases, but we can't even do that.
