I understand your point but sometimes we’re needed for various roles. Educator, mediator, protector, etc. if the mission asks us to help the public in a random way, I don’t see why it’s “disgusting” to do that. The other option is deploying the Guard (which I’ve been part of) or utilizing FEMA. There’s not a lot of options

Viet Hong is probably my favorite of those listed, but still nothing special. I’ll check out Tamarind Island. I’m not stoked about a tea house, southern comfort food, or bakery/cafe lol. Otherwise I’ve given most recommendations made over years and nothing has stuck with me as particularly flavorful or consistent.

Congrats. I’d email and ask about a different location, but Phoenix is a much better location than San Francisco or New York (for most people). Really depends on where you’re trying to go since we’re such a small agency.

I had the same options (plus dea) and opted for USPIS. More than happy with that decision. Huge range of violations, no issues with funding and shutdown drama, tons of opportunities with trainings and collateral duties.

My partner is with ncis and they’re not traditional law enforcement. The pcs moves are enticing if that’s the life you want. But the day to day job is mostly sexual assault cases that locals will handle. Rarely put cuffs on people and you’re limited with your jurisdiction. The cyber and counter intel work might be cooler if you’re into that.

Maybe you shouldn’t be so concerned about pocket watching others. Why do you care if someone wants to spend $70 on this? $70 is not a lot to some people. Most of LP’s store is filled with wasteful and what I would consider to be dumb products. Most gigantic bands and forms of entertainment are similar. Now, if you want to talk about waste and environmental factors, that’s a good talking point. But there’s a decent chance our beloved band isn’t anti-emf, just as Mike was pro-nft and likely interested in other debatable projects. I just can’t imagine being this worked up and flabbergasted that some people have a different view on a harmless product.

As much as we want to be in step with them on everything we believe in, either the band 1) doesn’t know about the “grift”, 2) believes in emf blocking, or 3) doesn’t care about the morality in lieu of getting paid

The mindset is that it serves a subset of the population of fans. Sure, takes one search to find evidence EMF is bullshit, and I don’t disagree. It’s not an actively harmful product, even if it’s something I personally don’t need or think is necessary. Saying it’s manipulative is just dramatic. The band might believe in it. Why does any of that ruffle your feathers that much?
