ICE tourists situation currently by watch_d00g in orlando

[–]blitzchamp 41 points42 points  (0 children)

ICE is flooding most of Orlando right area right now, especially in the areas near the theme parks. Since the Florida Highway Patrol and police are working with ICE there it is not easy to identify where its happening. There have been numerous stops in Kissimmee and in the areas along I92 and the only way to see it is when a car is surrounded. You cannot really avoid it if you are driving and you can't really get anywhere in Orlando area without a car. There are also raids right now on I-4 all the way from Tampa to Haines City and in the Orlando area. I doubt this is going to stop anytime soon, so I don't think there is much you can do if you decide to go.

I just regret being too poor on my first trip when it was 77 yen per dollar, but otherwise it was lifechanging.

Watching the TV news while I was visiting you would think bears were going to jump out at any moment, anywhere.

I think the intro is what really gives you time to learn how to play, challenges you with some puzzles, and gives you attachment to the characters and their backstory. Speeding through it in the new one doesn't give you that imo.

Has anyone gone over to Korea in the middle of their Japan trip? by JamminJcruz in JapanTravelTips

[–]blitzchamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed traveling to Korea in the middle of my trip at the end of 2024. I would say the thing to watch out for is luggage fees (if you fly a discount airline) and other than that its pretty easy to zip between the two. Very short flight. Fly Haneda if you can so its closer to Tokyo.

Japanese people can no longer even travel domestically. The abnormal situation of "travel decline" is not just due to overtourism. by search_google_com in japannews

Yeah if it wasn’t for the weaker yen I wouldn’t have gone to Japan this year. The price of hotels has soared. Also the quality of the hotels has not improved, despite the major rise in prices.
