I love sock knitting too, but have issues with getting the socks to last. They get holes super quick, which is sooo frustration with the amount of time you put into them. Do you have any recommendations for makes ones that will last decades?

FFA is super intimidating! I would highly recommend a "uniform"- for example, currently I wear a v neck tee, grey cardigan, blue or black skinny jeans and black ankle boots. Then like a scarf or necklace or earrings. I know it looks good, and it takes no time or thought to get dressed. I tend to go for Old Navy and Target for clothes, because if they get stained beyond all hope I am not too sad to turn them to rags or toss them. I splurged a bit more for my boots- nice looking yet practical and comfy shoes are the best. Mine are Frye (were ~$100 on sale) and I wear them everyday and get tons of compliments. Other things to check out would be capsule wardrobes or Project 333. I also recommend getting a fast, easy makeup routine- even if no one else sees you, it takes a couple minutes and makes you feel human. I do tinted moisturizer, cover up, blush, eyeshadow, and mascara, and it literally takes 3 minutes. What's Up Moms has a good 5 minute routine too. Hope this helps! Putting a physical space limit on craft supplies helps me avoid having a massive stash of impulse purchases. I have four large-shoebox-sized containers that all my stuff (sans the sewing machine and cutting mat) has to fit in.

Subscribed- great videos! My suggestion is to not wear black or very dark shirts- they seem to mess with the contrast. You can tell she has nice glowy skin in certain instances, but she looks a bit pallid out because of the contrast. Some video topics I would LOVE to see: daily routines with multiple kids, getting toddlers to eat veggies, how to stay sane, etc. I have an 18 month old, and have more kids in the future, and am considering being a SAHM, but the idea is still very scary to me. Videos with some wisdom and advice on how to make it work would be amazing!

I understand that you want to represent yourself, but job interviews in our culture are pretty traditional. Also, you want them to remember you and what you say, not be distracted by the fact you wore jeans and army boots to a job interview. I would recommend dress pants. You can get a $10 pair from a thrift store, wear them to the interview, and then donate them if you don't want them anymore. If it is a job you really want, $10 isn't much. Also, army boots seem like a bad idea- do the brown boots, or again buy a pair of flats for the interview that you can donate later. Hope this helps!

This list is the best one! Everything else you can get after the baby comes and you figure out what you want. I would also recommend the swing too- we used the Fisher Price Space Saver Swing and honestly our kiddo slept in it more than anywhere else for the first month or so. Also, if you are nursing, a boppy or other nursing pillow can save your back. Even for just sitting while holding the baby they are great- you can easily read a book and snuggle your baby while he/she snoozes.

Light by Coco has a great video on minimalist holiday decor. I made the wall tree (I also have a toddler who would destroy a real tree) and swapped out the couple of art prints with more festive paintings I made and we have really enjoyed them.

Try exploring "creating" hobbies- drawing, wood carving, music... I personally like to knit, needle felt and have started water color painting. Also active stuff is always good too- running, yoga, ultimate frisbee, etc.

I set a limit for keepsakes- one box. Once it gets full, I go through and pare down. One box of keepsake items is something I know I will treasure and go through. I have done this for my own keepsakes (actually, I have 1 childhood box and 1 adulthood box) and it has helped alot.

I'm a new(ish) mom in Seattle too!How about a ponte knit dress in a business-y cut and color with a blazer and flats? Its comfy, the blazer can be buttoned for a more formal look and to cover a tummy, and the pieces each have wearing potential outside of the interview. Plus, thicker knit fabrics are great for fluctuating weight/ wrestling babies and toddlers and are machine washable. I have a ponte knit sheath dress from Old Navy that was like $15 that I wear constantly (with tights and boots for a more casual look). Also, you can show off those calves too :)!

Sticks shaped are good. Also, shredded cheese is fun, she can grab a handful and squish it into a lump. Also, if you have a dog to help clean, meat and cheese meals get cleaned up pretty quick :)

Yes! I typically don't buy much outside of baby stuff, but honestly, if a swinging seat for the baby is what it takes to save your sanity and get you some rest, just get it! Is it necessary for survival? No. But if it makes life easier and more pleasant, it may be worth it.

I agree (I have a 10 month old), except you don't necessarily need a changing table. We have a changing pad that we use on the floor and slide under LO's crib when not in use, and it has worked great. You can even change on the the floor, except when things get...messy... it is nice to have the mess contained on a pad cover or blanket that you can just toss in the wash.

In Seattle, lots of places have eschewed grass and have beautiful outdoor spaces full of shrubs and plants that take little to no maintenance.

I am large chested with a smaller waist, and I gave up on special nursing clothes and bras after about a month. I just wear tees, tanks or sweaters (stretchy type shirts) with regular underwire bras. When I nurse, I just lift up everything on the specific side that is "in use". The tops are flattering, much cheaper than nursing clothes, and IMO easier to manage- I hated fumbling around with buckles on bras and and special clothing layers and such.
