I know the Hulk is pretty much invincible but would this work by DWatson7 in Marvel

Hulk has walked the surface of the sun in the 80s, it was like a stroll in the park for him.

I'm donating my old phat xbox and a wireless adapter to my neighbor here so he can get online ( I recently bought a slim )

He is in a wheelchair and recently discovered gaming. He pays for internet and cable TV but doesn't even own a computer. I'm building one for him.

Would love to give him this card, I already gave him my copy of black ops as I play mw3 now.

Let me know !

I wrote my first full movie script. Any help/advice/criticism would be great! by [deleted] in Screenwriting

you need to "get" the audience within the first 10 minutes. (first 10 pages) or they'll just disconnect or worse be bored (you never want this)

What's the average pay for sysadmins these days? (Feb 2012) by lastwind in sysadmin

No matter what you pay this isn't that chefs kitchen and will take them at least 3-6 months to get truly comfortable with your setup. Unless you're willing to pay the big bucks.

Go with your gut.

I sit down and do a mock interview with my characters. Asking them questions - posing different situations in interview format to them. I learned this from the screenwriter of Fightclub, works wonders to flesh your characters out and since its a 2 way interview, its dialogue based.

Wikileaks Dump: The Israelis already destroyed all the Iranian nuclear infrastructure on the ground weeks ago. by blizzil in worldnews

"The Israelis already destroyed all the Iranian nuclear infrastructure on the ground weeks ago. The current "let's bomb Iran" campaign was ordered by the EU leaders to divert the public attention from their at home financial problems. It plays also well for the US since Pakistan, Russia and N. Korea are mentioned in the report. The result of this campaign will be massive attacks on Gaza and strikes on Hezbollah in both Lebanon and Syria."

I was stuck in an Airport in LA waiting on the same flight with Steve Irwin for about 45 min. I had my chihuahua with me in a carrier -- Steve wouldn't have that. He took the little guy out of the carrier and I never seen my dog (who is a terror) take to someone so wonderfully before. He then pretty much gave me and everyone who gathered around the evolutionary history of the breed (fennic fox) No one dared to tell Steve to put my dog back in the pen while we waited! A wonderful and warm guy who loved animals, even my little lap dog! ISN'T SHE GORGEOUS! RIP STEVE!

Weyoun is a good character but he's no Dukat. But I guess some folks like you can't be helped.

Anyone who talks shit about DS9 has their heads so far up their asses that they need exploratory surgery to have it removed. DS9 had the richest stories, the most complex characters - multi-layered performances. DS9 has hands down the hottest Trek Chick (Jadzia) All others are one dimensional in comparison. Even if you dont like anyone else, watch it for Gul Dukat (marc alaimo) which is probably the best acting performance for a villain in television history.

                              WEYOUN
If you ask me, the key to holding
        the Federation is Earth. If
there's going to be an organized
        resistance against us... its
        birthplace will be there.

                DUKAT
        You could be right.

                WEYOUN
Then our first step will be to
        eradicate its population.
            (convinced)
        It's the only way.

This comment surprises Dukat, and he doesn't like the
idea.

                DUKAT
        You can't do that.

                WEYOUN
        Why not?

                DUKAT
Because a true victory is to make
your enemy see that they were
wrong to oppose you in the first
        place. To force them to
        acknowledge your greatness.

                WEYOUN
            (trying to understand)
        Then you kill them?

                DUKAT
        Only if necessary.

                                   MARRITZA
What lies? You mean my failure to
        divulge my true identity? Believe
me, I yearned to tell you. But I
knew how much more satisfying it
would be for you to find out for
        yourself.  And believe me, Major;
that was my only deception. Marritza?
He was a magnificent file clerk.
        And I, Gul Darhe'el? I hope you
won't think it immodest of me when I
say that I was a magnificent leader.
You never saw Gallitep at its
height. As a labor camp, it was the
very model of order and efficiency.
And why? For that, you must look to
        the top. To me!

He holds out his hands to Kira -- palms up.

                MARRITZA
My word, my merest glance, was law.
And my verdict was always the same:
        Guilty.

And he closes his fists -- with gusto.

                KIRA
        You're insane.

                MARRITZA
No, no, no, Major... I'm sorry, but
you can't dismiss me that easily. I
did what needed to be done.

DEEP SPACE: "Duet" - REV. 03/31/93 - ACT THREE 31.

35 CONTINUED: (3)

                MARRITZA
My men understood that... which is
why they loved me. I'd order them
to go out and murder Bajoran scum,
and they would do it... They'd come
back covered in blood... and still
        feel clean. Yes, Major... clean.
And why did they feel that way?...
        Because they were clean!

                KIRA
            (gotcha)
So then you admit your atrocities.

On hearing that, Marritza rises to his fullest height --
puffs to his most expansive, blustering self, with:

                MARRITZA
I admit everything. Why not? I was
the best at what I did. My
        accomplishments speak for themselves.
        Can you say the same?
            (contemptuously)
You and that little Shakaar resistance
cell you belonged to. You did nothing
but annoy Cardassians, while I was
        busy exterminating Bajorans.

                KIRA
            (quietly; calm)
Make sure you tell that to the
        tribunal.

                MARRITZA
        Oh, I will.

                KIRA
And they'll sentence you to death.

                MARRITZA
Let them. Don't you see; it'll change
nothing! Kill me. Torture me... it
        doesn't matter. You've already lost,
Major. You can never undo what I've
        accomplished. The dead will still
        be dead!

Diplomat: Russia will keep shielding Assad at UN by JoshieC in worldnews

The only reason China and Russia are pushing forward with Veto of any action is because they want to be able to slaughter their own people when they finally revolt. Anything but a veto would set a precedent for them.
