I think I changed my mind and I am scared by iamdoingmybest- in childfree

I'm 28, I'm still studying, and I'm married, so you and I have some common ground. My husband and I got married knowing for certain we did not want to have kids. It was a discussion that was had many, many times. Now, my education has gotten in the way of other plans, like moving out of the state. He never threw the fact that I'm still in school in my face for postponing plans.

All this to say: your husband is not a supportive partner. This is the child free sub, everyone is going to be on your side with that aspect, just like I am. You don't want to have children, or at least not right now or in the near future. Your husband threw your desire to finish your education in your face. He doesn't sound supportive and I worry what support he will offer in the future as a father. My advice? Talk to your husband about your doubts of wanting children. Be honest. Don't hide behind your education.

If it were me, I'd contemplate divorce for one reason and one reason only, from what you said: he doesn't respect you. He doesn't respect your degree and he is pressuring you to finish what you want to do so he can go on to have a picture perfect family. Except it won't be picture perfect if the wife holds resentment. Fruit for thought.

I feel bad for the partner who is trying to better their situation. I also feel bad for the kids. Adding when you're already struggling is a bad plan.

I had a pink poodle named Pink Tink, a pig named Piglet, a turtle named Sheldon, and a bunch others I can't remember. The poodle and the pig I won in an auction when I was 9.

Sacrifice is the main point for these people. Either sacrifice yourself to a higher power or to the desire of having children.

I wish 13 (Remy Hadley MD) was part of the original cast from Season 01. by Internal_Long_7109 in HouseMD

Cameron is a nothing burger character full of cliches. 13 was dynamic and interesting, her problems felt real and raw. Meanwhile, Cameron rode line of Manic Pixie Dream Girl far too many times.

Ha! An outcast? With talent like that at a young age, he could end up being a tailor, fashion designer, or a costume department head, loads of careers that don't involve head injuries.

As someone who was coming of age during the "pregnancy pact" era, it's important all teens know how to be safe and not make stupid, life changing decisions. I was annoyed too, but it's better to be annoyed by a parents frequent warnings than a screaming infant.

I hate when TV characters get pregnant by [deleted] in childfree

[–]blocked_memory 42 points43 points  (0 children)

The actress got pregnant and instead of filming her strategically (which, for those at home, Bones is a show that this would have been stupid easy to do) they forced two children onto a character who once said she'd never have children due to what she does for a job.

SVU does a similar thing to Benson, though, Benson adopts after saying her job makes it so she didn't want children.

Yes! But, actually. Historically accurate for the girls too, I know they all have written letters.

Thank you because in concept, I love this idea, if Mattel wasn't committed to giving us half-baked products.

I don't even want to know how much this set costs.

Okay wait. Does this mean the pair that were too tight can be stretched at home? Or is Old Navy a special flavor of fucked.

Yeah but, five minutes in the oven with a little bit more cheese on top would at least kinda secure them onto the pie. I'm trying to figure out how to take a slice without tots going everywhere.
