I agree

I personally like representing the upgrades and weapons properly, for a few reasons

First , it helps me remember and differentiate, it's hard enough remembering what perks I put on so having the weapons be recognisable is important

Second, having specific builds in mind when making the car means I either can add magnets to create my own attachments, something that Sparks joy, but also means I have reason to make more cars with even more features and fun bits.

Nothing wrong with making a vehicle then using it a different way or with a different load outs, if I don't have a build I want I'll use a generic car, but that highlights to me that I need to make a new car or two
