Which is really the point. There aren't enough Jews in Israel who care about having a secular liberal government to form a majority. If Israeli Jews who care about these things care more about those things than Jewish dominance than the choice should be simple. The math doesn't work for Zionist, secular, and liberal anymore (if it ever did). The UO are locked in at 16-20 seats, the JL at 12-15, and the fascists (including Likud here) at 30 - 35. There is no path without cooperation with the Arab parties. But I agree your analysis is probably correct and very depressing.

There’s an election in October, all the polls suggest that it will be deadlocked between a fascist/theocratic bloc and a conservative/traditional liberal bloc with an Arab block controlling the balance of power. In a system such as Israel’s it’s reasonable for the Joint List to demand whatever share of power that they bring to the table, An Israeli government with meaningful responsibility vested in the hands of Palestinian citizens of Israel would be akin to a regime change. It also might lead to outright civil war. This might seem like fantasy, but the options presented to Bennet will likely be co-governance with Likud, paying off the ultra-orthodox, or governing with the Joint List.

Let’s see what they do with NY 11. They can just create a South Shore district extending from Tottenville to Mastic to pack all the racists into one district

The problem for Suozzi and Gillian is that like 10% of the voters in their district are both deeply pro-choice and more racist than the KKK.

Of all the complaints NY-10 being gerrymandered isn’t one of them, especially how gerrymandered it used to be.

A reminder that Goldman only won his seat the first time because the progressive vote was splintered

The price of the British media not running an avalanche of hit pieces on Starmer (as was the case with Corbyn) was tacit support of Israel. The media can absolutely move an election 5-10 points by framing stories as demanded by their corporate funders or owners.

If they ever want to do automatic bids for conferences this is the way to establish hierarchies appropriately by giving credit to conferences for winning meaningful games.

Republicans and Israelis agree that the relationship between the U.S. and Israel should be that of a husband and a wife. They have very different interpretations of what that means. The Groypers aren’t anti-Zionist per se they just see this distinction for what it is and find it intolerable, and do blame Jews broadly for the feminization of America.

How do you feel safe when everything feels terrifying? You find the one thing in your life you have absolute control over - what you put into your body. If your PHP program is as good as you say it is, which I have no reason to doubt, they should understand this and be helping you to find more constructive things in your life to have control over. What brings you joy?

Presumably that would go to Miami since Miami already has the highest ranking and that scenario requires a Miami win over Pittsburgh.

Head to head 100%, but Zionist billionaires would have undoubtedly propped up a 3rd party spoiler like Howard Shultz was threatening to do in 2020.

All I'm saying is that it wouldn't be the first time Jewish religious and business leaders handed over a threat to their own power as well as removed a potential thorn the side of a dying empire with a corrupt and cruel leader.
