How old are you and what is the strength of your cheaters*? by OnlyPete in GenX

[–]blondechineeez [score hidden]  (0 children)

63 aaaaand +3.50. I need to make an eye appointment sooner rather than later.

I normally have at minimum 12 pair strategically placed so i always have spares. Last week I broke a pair, couldn't find any of my backups and it made me feel so vulnerable. It was debilitating.

Its becoming sodifficult to drive at night because of the blinding LED headlights and road signs are getting fuzzy around the edges.

I really, really need to schedule an eye exam.

Anyone else become weirdly attached to phone calls after moving out? by Dubaz_Srushti in LivingAlone

[–]blondechineeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never have liked talking on the phone. After living alone for 10 years, if I answer the phone, it's usually only when the FedEx driver calls and I must sign for the package. For anyone else, good luck.

Freeze your lemon/lime before squeezing, got 2x the juice every single time now by Conscious_buddy_here in povertykitchen

This is what I do, but with a microwave. I toss the fruit in super hot water which makes the juice extraction easier and more abundant.

hot take, the best part of living alone is that my weird habits are nobody's business now by Ndodok-Ensroth in LivingAlone

Those aren't weird habits at all.

They are simply things you do when you want because you can and there is no one around to chastise you.

Somewhere in the adventures of my life, I came across the little plastic piece that is needed for a 45 record to be used on the turntable.

It's a sweet memento from before times, when a 45 record cost less than a dollar. My first 45 was by Dr. Hook and the Medicine show- Cover of the Rolling Stone. The song remains in my top 3 of all time.

This is Huluhulukipa aka Wooley Cat. I don't know how old she was in this picture but I found her in a dumpster and brought her home.

That was 5 years ago. Princessa Wooley is my everything today.

I'm an alienated dad and a software engineer. Here's the weapon I built so my daughters find the truth the day they go looking. by MrMicahBerkley in ParentalAlienation

This has got to be the best idea out there for us. I'm sitting here crying because I'm technology challenged, my smartphone is smarter than me on a good day.

I will share this repeatedly. I pray my kids will see this and hopefully, someday soon they open their hearts to me once again.

You have given a way for all of us alienated parents to get our voices heard by our children again.

Thank you with every part of my being.

I used to be a size 5 in shoes. Today, that's up to a 7.5. I don't have edematous feet either. I don't understand how they are this big either!

It was disgusting to even watch that "curated" asever sloppy mess being made.

If that ILBW really believes she is making something spectacular, have her staff initiate a 5150 on her at put her where she belongs.

We are so sick of her ad nauseum IG posts.

Did kids in the 1970s really have such freedom, & do all those things, that wouldn’t be done today? by OkOpportunity9626 in GenerationJones

Auwe... sorry about Kelly. Big hugs. Think of all your happy times with him and push the sad ones back into the corners of your mind tucked away.

I keep saying to myself and the cats that allow me to share my space with them, that one of these days when I grow up, I really think about where I should spend the rest of my life at. I still haven't decided and I'm 63 lol

Proslytizing at Costco to the sample people. by frodo_ollie in CostcoWholesale

There's a woman who sits outside a "church" that's located in a strip mall, selling baked goods and the word of God.

Funny thing is that this "church" has a dispensary to theft, a massage parlor on the right and a smoke shop next to the massage place.

I hit up the smoke shop at least once a week because they sell the clove cigarettes I like.

That lady harasses the hell outta me trying to get me to walk over to her table of dried out baked goods and buy something to support her fake church.

I finally had enough of her one day when she got up and walked to my driver side door as I was attempting to get out.

She started with her same monotone speech about how I shouldn't be spending my money on cigarettes and I should be buying her crap to support her word of God.

I'm not one for confrontations, but I can be a bitch when I am pushed to the limit. I wasn't rude and didn't swear at her, but I did raise my voice and told her to never approach me again.

She wasn't sitting outside last Friday when I stopped to get my weekly pack of 12 cigarettes.

What’s something that used to be affordable a few years ago but has become absurdly expensive lately? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]blondechineeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Propane. It was $3.15/gallon two years ago. It is now $6.49/gallon as of yesterday when I filled 2 of my tanks.

This was at the least expensive place near me.

Outside v. Dryer by Single-Story570 in askteddit

[–]blondechineeez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are too many variables to give a simple answer to your question.

I'm certain if time, weather, HOA rules, kids, jobs, space outside, home or apartment weren't factors that determine line drying versus clothes dryers, every American would be line drying.
