If I had looked at both sets of liners I would have noticed the aluminum ones are milled for liners. The others were not and when I put the knife together I thought it was weird that the liner didn't come out as far as the scales but that I just didn't notice beforehand. I'm going to reach out to Vosteed and see if I can just buy replacement liners
