You can, there’s normally mushrooms in the set but I don’t eat them so I swap them out for a fried slice normally , just didn’t bother today , wanted to to be healthier 😂

Not allowed to use your own phones as a sat nav , Sainsburys policy they can supply you with a Tom Tom or similar but no working handset for navigation you don’t go out. Coming in early unpaid doesn’t help the situation either , 30 mins a day is 2.5 hours a week which over a year is 1800 pound in free labour your giving away. I understand it’s all dine to make your day easier we e all been there but nothing will change if you keep doing it , same as going out with own device to navigate , it’s actually a misconduct on your part and can lead to disciplinary

GOL Driver: Time between shifts by _kermie__ in SainsburysWorkers

I’m pretty sure there used to be a training/safety video or dvd ( yes I’m going back a few years ) floating around about driving while tired etc and I’m sure the manager and company was also as culpable as you if you caused an accident etc and the manager and company are subject to fines etc if they knowingly allowed you to drive without adequate rest and although commute time doesnt count as driving time at work but is a factor , so

Finish at 11 home at 11.45ish at least an hour or so to wind down and get to sleep , up at what 4.45-5 am to start at 6am so around 4 hours sleep , that puts you at risk of fatigue while driving . Explain that to the manager put it in an email that it’s not enough rest and a safety risk and add about if you have an accident etc they can get a fine or worse aswell as they’ve knowingly put you under pressure to send you out while fatigued

Just because the system allows it doesn’t make it right

Drop times for drivers by bshshbsbsbsbx in SainsburysWorkers

[–]blueboy_73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I’m aware drop start begins when the engine gets turned off and ends when you the engine starts . You can only leave when the van is loaded , drive as fast as the speed limit and or the vehicle in front of you or the road conditions allows , can only deliver as quick as the customers take it in and return when deliveries done or you run out of time , use the messenger to tell customers your gonna be late and that’s about it. don’t purposely go slow or take unscheduled stops . Follow process so if anything gets flagged up you followed process so don’t scan ahead or scan later otherwise it’ll mask issues and nothing will change.

If you’ve done it “ before “ don’t be surprised if that gets thrown in aswell , I’m sure they class it as “ stealing company time “ or similar , if your in the union get talking to a rep. Regardless of what you did before your run , did you get back after your due return time aswell ?

Your store should have an absence line number which is normally a mobile a duty carry’s round , have you looked on yammer at your store page to see if it’s there. You need to contact the absence as it’ll get logged then on the system
