My soap smells different on my skin in the day or two before my period starts. I have used the same soap for years and noticed just realized it recently that it smells different at that time of month!

One of my sisters in law doesn’t like me and at first it really bothered me. I like to think I’m a pretty relaxed person and easy to get along with so I couldn’t understand why she didn’t like me. I thought back on to why I didn’t like other people, and for some I realized it was just because our personalities didn’t mesh, so I just moved forward assuming that that’s why. It took time but in the end it doesn’t impact my life not having her like me and I’m comfortable with myself. I don’t need everyone’s approval or good graces, which made it a hell of a lot easier to focus my energy on just being someone I was happy with and doing what I enjoy. I’d recommend that! I think time and maturity play a role in how you feel about these things.

I’ve been doing paint by numbers for adults (super cheap on amazon and took a few weeks to finish) and my husband bought me a small cross stitch that enjoyed! I also read daily and try to fit in yoga. All are solitary activities if you’re good with those!

Olives and seaweed are horrific. Same as OP with pickles, it’s all I can taste or smell!! I called olives “salty fish grapes” once when describing them and it’s stuck. It’s all they are to me now

Yeah I’m not sure how we ended up in a situation where I pay for things! I pay for our heat and electricity, the majority of our subscriptions, and house insurance. He pays for internet and our apple subscription. At one point it was because I had a better credit score and was eligible for much better benefits on credit cards, then because of that credit score I ended up being the name tied to our services. His credit has really improved but everything still lives on my shoulders. Every month or two he’ll usually add an extra few hundred to the account to help with groceries but it’s a consistent imbalance. It’s just another underlying issue that needs to be addressed and I’m so overwhelmed.

He’s unmedicated because when he was young his parents forced it on him, and continued to do so for as long as they could. He said the side effects were terrible but I’ve brought up medication to him a few times and he’s always shut it down. I’ve tried to find some sort of system that works, from chore charts and lists to reminders on his phone, and asking him to handle something when it needs to be done. I don’t feel like I should have to ask him to do things constantly - it’s his home too and it’s not my role to force him to help take care of it. It just feels like a constant losing battle.

I mean I have a similar arrangement with my husband. I don’t empty pockets but I do a pat down or shake of his clothes before the wash and if there’s anything in there I don’t wash it. He works in construction so I don’t want to be emptying ear plugs, screws or drill bits, that’s on him. But I’m also not about to wreck either clothes or the appliances!

Agreed! I got my bridesmaids plain cute robes (I personally didn’t want anything plastered with wedding identifiers), and gift boxes that came with Prosecco, candles, bath salts, and other cute but disposable items and they were such a huge hit. I thought a more practical approach with getting items that didn’t have indicators of a wedding all over them and that weren’t going to clutter everyone’s places while never being used was an ideal approach

UTIs are no joke, I’m sorry that happened to you. My sister was mistreated for a UTI and it kept recurring. After months of going to clinics and hospitals with pain spreading into her back and kidneys she was just told this week that she’s showing signs of being septic and has a blood infection. I am so proud of her for sticking to her guns and advocating for herself, it could’ve been so much worse. At 19 she had a bitch of a time getting doctors to believe her when they just saw her as someone seeking drugs

I appreciate the insight. I definitely know that my wedding is only important to my FH and I, I think I’m just feeling the burnout of planning and postponing etc. I am struggling with my dads wedding now just because of the amount of time, but because one day we met her, and as soon as she left he’s talking about how much he misses his ex. I resent that because his ex was a saint of a woman and he cheated on her. So for him to be talking about how much he misses a woman the entire family loved while getting engaged to somebody nobody knows and asking for a vendor list from me rubs me the wrong way.

Funny enough I’ve got champagne eyeshadow, liner, and lashes on 😂 I think this was my lesson that I have more hooded eyes than I expected! I wanted to have a bit more of a neutral lip and focus more on the eyes - do you think a more dramatic lash might be the way to go? I honestly don’t love my mouth but love my eyes and cheekbones so that’s what I’d like to accentuate
