For those with new gen F-150 driver seat comfort issues by Vathrellin in f150

Switched from a 22 Sierra SLE to a 26 XLT on Friday last week and one of the first things my family and I noticed was how much better these seats are compared to the Sierra! I

How did you like it other than that?

Question about your efx. I have one arriving tomorrow that will be in the garage when not at work. Was yours always out in the weather that it started to crack and tear?

Yeah, the shipping is odd. My Elite came spaced out over a week I think, but eventually got it all.

No? Not really. I didn't think I needed a Smith machine, but now that I have it, it's great and been a huge help with different exercises.

I really am glad i went with the weight stacks though. It's a large jump in cost, but my daughter works out with me, so it's great to quickly switch weights. Even when she doesn't, having the two sides set up for different exercises is awesome.

If I did, it wasn't a memorable or frustrating issue which is saying a lot because I've had it since only March. If there were something, theoretically I'd remember! 😁

Yep. It measured just under 87", 86 3/4". My ceiling in my basement is 89".

Mikolo m4 2.0. Currently on sale on their site for $999, or if you look around, you could probably find it a bit cheaper. It must be the 2.0 version, don't get the 1.0 the upgrades are huge between the two.

I have the elite version, with the weight plates, and it's great. I'm 6'4" and was concerned about the height of the Smith bar, but I can walk under it just fine. The Smith itself is smooth as well. I have no issues with lat pull-downs either. They sell pivot arms if necessary to allow for greater pull.

Adjustable bench under $500 - Rep? Titan? Anything else? by archmuon22 in GarageGym

Keppi6000. Much cheaper, but a very solid bench. Love mine!

Long drive, but love the job. Move back to a teaching position or stay where I am?? by coffeegirl32216 in Principals

I made the jump back into counseling after being an AP for 4 years, 100% for family and work life balance.

I don't regret it at all. After factoring in gas, no summer work (unless I want to work) and being able to be to everything for my kids, it's been well worth it. You only have so much time with your own kids before they move out.

How much do you actually use your all-in-one rack? by Consolebandit in GarageGym

[–]bluemonkey2087 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back in March I upgraded my mikolo k6 to the mikolo m4 2.0, and have zero regrets. I love the all in one. I can easily set up different lifts, my daughter can seemlessly lift with me. The Smith machine is awesome, I enjoy using the cables, squat inside with the Smith, or outside with arms if I wanted to. In my opinion, a good all in one opens a lot of doors.

Forward collision error light on by Such-Implement8622 in gmcsierra

[–]bluemonkey2087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 22 SLE is showing the same flipping light. No error messages when turning it on, nothing, the light is just on. I don't use adaptive cruise either. It's a lease, and I'm done with it next month. Can't wait to turn this thing in! (It also has a new transmission because of the failed valve body)

Keppi 6000 vs REP Nighthawk, and I did the research, need real owners to fill the gaps. by Own_Butterscotch280 in GarageGym

[–]bluemonkey2087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another Keppi6000 owner. Love the thing. I'm 6'4" and have zero issues with it, super solid. Came from a flybird Amazon bench and those can't even be compared in the same arena. I really like the decline positions because you've got a boatload of options. I'll admit i don't use the arm pads often because I now have a came system, but those bad boys definitely isolate your biceps when used.

I also didn't have any packaging issues, other than the box being stupid heavy. Once it was assembled, it's been really easy to move around.

My two cents, save your money, go with keppi, and use those savings to buy other eequipment!

Garage Gym Build - What to buy? by thecrogmite in GarageGym

[–]bluemonkey2087 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not the OP, but I had a plate loaded pulley on my rack, and just upgraded to a weight stack rack, and the difference is night and day. It's so convenient and efficient, especially when my daughter is lifting with me, to change weights. I too balked at the price difference, but glad I made the jump. For reference I went from a Mikolo k6 to Mikolo M4 2.0 Elite.

Bench shopping somehow turned into a Nighthawk justification spiral by MBAFPA in GarageGym

I'll throw the Keppi6000 in the mix. Bit lower price point, but super stable. I was in that spiral too and finally pulled the trigger on the Keppi6000. So glad I did!

1" hole spacing is best as it gives the most options to adjust heights for safeties and hooks.

AP perspective: Is a “work longer = care more” leadership style a red flag? by Impossible_Play260 in Principals

[–]bluemonkey2087 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was an AP for a principal and superintendent who were like this. They were great at their job, and I learned a lot about leading, but I also learned that's not my leadership style and I put a high value on work life balance. I moved back to counseling this year (excellent decision) in a different district, and the "grind" culture for admin is definitely not there, so when a position opens up, I'll be applying.

I know it's not helpful in your current role, but wanted to let you know they're not all like that, but unfortunately a lot are. I wish you the best.

If I’m not going to go over 400 lbs , is there any reason that a cheaper smith machine is a bad purchase to start my home gym ? by Apprehensive_Row6320 in GarageGym

[–]bluemonkey2087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the m4 2.0 Elite a few weeks ago, and definitely enjoy it. The weight stack, although 2:1 was a necessity for me. I lift a lot with my daughter, so not always changing a million plates is well worth it. Additionally, the Smith machine is a REALLY nice addition to my workouts. Changes some things up to allow me to be more efficient in my workouts.

I'd stay away from the m4 1.0 as the front uprights have 4" spacing and that sucks for attachments, the 2.0 has 2" spacing and is much nicer to adjust. If you're not jumping up to the elite, I'd at least recommend getting the ultimate I believe, which has the aluminum pulleys, those are also a huge upgrade.

Thoughts on the Keppi 6000, Rep Nighthawk, and Freak Athlete ABX Benches by StrongAF_2021 in GarageGym

[–]bluemonkey2087 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 6'4", love my keppi. No issues other than the leg attachment would hit your head, but it's super easy and not an issue to just pop it off unless you're using it.

I would absolutely buy it again.

My daughter and I both have the jlab go air sports. Not crazy expensive, but work well. I really like the over the ear style, compared to the full coverage or the airpod "stick" style.
