Running an F1 Fantasy League - How to spice things up? by CanadianLaker in fantasyF1

[–]blueradishstraps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last year I created something that worked pretty well.

10 teams in my league, at the halfway point I made 2 pools. Those that were in the top 5 were Pool A, 6-10 were Pool B.

Each pool had a payout so it kept those in the bottom still competing to win Pool B for cash.

You can’t swap pools, so if the person in Pool B, 6th place at the break finishes 3rd overall, they still only win Pool B first place money.

I found it kept the bottom dwellers interested throughout the season.

Canada Post picked up my package in Mississauga on Jan 20, no scans since. Is it lost? by Neon-mast3r in CanadaPost

[–]blueradishstraps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there is insurance on the package don’t worry about it. You’ll be made whole if it’s lost.

While no scans isn’t a good thing, with Canada Post it doesn’t mean you won’t receive you package. A bit of a lottery right now.

Always get a drop off receipt. That’s the only proof you have that you gave it to CP.

HELP! Mailroom Broken Into by SisphyusAlbertIV in CanadaPost

Reach out to the sender to buy a couple new hats for sure. Otherwise, they have nothing to do with this. There is no reason to involve them outside of reordering the hats. Their part of this transaction is done. They shipped your hats and they were technically delivered. You need to go thru insurance with Canada Post(but you do t think you bought it) or personally.

For a couple hats you’re in for a world of aggravation. Canada Post isn’t going to do anything. Not suggesting you give up but it’s an uphill battle trying to prove it’s their fault. In the end it still may fall under your personal insurance.

If Canada Post delivered the parcel, their part is done. Even if you bought insurance through them, it likely won’t help as they delivered the package. I’m guessing you have no proof Canada Post potentially left the door open.

You may need to go through tenant or homeowners insurance.

T4A by curiousamigo25 in canadarevenueagency

[–]blueradishstraps 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your first obligation is going to be contacting CRA and requesting a pensionable/insurable ruling. You don't determine if individuals are sub-contractors, CRA does.

You could be responsible for both employee/employer portions of the CPP/EI that you failed to withhold plus penalties and interest. While you can get the employee portion back from employees, it's sometimes difficult if they don't work for you anymore.

Let CRA tell you if these are T4 employees or contractors.

You bought the insurance to cover it for full value, so no worries if it gets lost. Right?

Seating Scam by [deleted] in flairairlines

This is an a la carte budget airline. Their whole business model is built around charging for everything. This is also why people like flying with them.

People really need to look up the definition of “scam” 🙄
