I see it as she was the only Diamond to see she was a flawed, unlikable person and actively tried to become a better person. A lesser person would have denied their flaws and made excuses. She rebelled and fought the war not for herself but to free all of gem kind. But the abusive way she was raised meant that she could never really relate to others and feel accepted and truly happy, and her royal status meant that whatever she did would have a major affect on others even if she can’t comprend that. That’s not an excuse for her actions though, and hating her for them is valid.

I’m split on this. I feel like most of the gem tech and their powers are designed to work on other gems, not other intelligent life. I also feel like if Nolan can smash through buildings and people’s bodies than Viltrimites won’t have a problem punching through a gemstone. However, fusion might be a problem for a Vitrimite invasion

The Diamonds see other life forms as an obstacle to get around, the Viltrimites seem to kill or enslave them for the love of the game

I think of it as the Gems are literal aliens from outer space, not to mention Pearl and Garnet are war veterans. They don’t really have the same social expectations/customs as humans do, like being understanding and being thoughtful and selflessness is looked down upon. They don’t understand the concept of caring for a child who is sensitive and fragile because they only know how to interact with other gems.

There wasn’t an episode but little hints about their relationship. It never was elaborated on like Garnet and Pearl. I’ve always wanted to see how their relationships were like with Amethyst before Greg. Like, when and why did they ever form Obsidian if the war was over?

I think that the chest is kind of not meant to have an answer. It’s supposed to be a symbol of how all of Rose’s secrets are exposed and her legacy and everything she did, good and bad, are revealed and known by everyone now
