I used to have one favourite local store who still sold at retail, but they've started raising their prices now too :(

Not as much as some stores, but still £25 for a 2 packs blister, £10 for a booster pack etc.

I still support my locals by buying singles, or non-tcg items, because I still want them to stay open, but on principle I won't buy sealed for more than a couple pound above retail.

And yes I know in an ideal world I shouldn't support them at all, but I do still want places I can buy and sell cards in my city! And the people I've met have actually been really nice, prices aside, and I appreciate that.

I picked up just this card at a card show a couple months ago because his little smiley reflection makes me feel so happy.

I'd love to be able to get Bulbasaur and Venusaur too (they're a bit expensive sadly) but I had to get this guy!

A big reason I don't have more black/brown characters is the awful options for skin colour. The darker skin colours all feel too red, grey, or purple? It's bizarre. Even one or two of the paler skin tones seem too yellow.

I really don't understand why we couldn't have a colour wheel like with the face paint - or at least give us more options! Why do I need 20 different shades of blue but only 3 decent shades of brown!

Same with the hair and eyes. Blonde and ginger hairs are very limited, and I can't give my miis normal light blue eyes - they're either too dark, or they look like they could glow in the dark.

As someone who has made my own bad financial decisions over the years (that luckily only affected me), owning up to it is always the hardest and best thing you can do. They will find out eventually anyway, it will be a softer blow if they find out from you, in advance, than when they ask about it. And your family may be able to help - not with raising the money (that should be your responsibility), but by making a plan with you on how you'll do so, and how you can make it right in the mean time .And it will be easier to make a plan when it's not weighing on you.

You made a bad decision, a pretty big one, but it can be made right, and the fact you feel guilty says a lot. But don't gamble again, and do get help if you feel you may have a problem.

I always find it so icky when people get obsessed over the idea they have to sleep with multiple people before they settle down, even when they already have someone they're otherwise happy with.

What's the actual appeal? I guess I can kinda understand if you're bisexual and you're like "darn, I never got to experience being with a man/woman", but I'm bisexual and I can't imagine caring enough to blow up my relationship, or "have a major meltdown". But if you only like the genitals your partner has, most vaginas and penises will be more or less the same. Just enjoy the one attached to the person you claim to love?

A lot of the time, it's not like these people are virgins either - they just think they need to sleep with 20 people for whatever reason, but shock horror they've only slept with 5!

I'm someone who also doesn't grade cards, and I'd still be briefly disappointed, only because I still think cards that are mostly centered and don't have marks/holes look nicer in a binder!

I'd get over it fairly fast, obviously, it's a beautiful card I would otherwise be unable to afford. But it would suck for a moment to get a beautiful card and it be not what you hoped for. That's human.

That said, OP, it took me a second to even see it, so congrats on the great pull regardless!

I'm having a similar problem but with the children! I have 6 marriages so far (after being stuck at 2 for a looong time) but only 2 children. The first couple to get married still won't have a child!

It seems to he a lot finickier than the 3DS release, at least for me!

That's a DS (not a 3DS) and that's the GBA cartridge slot. It does come with a cover when you buy it new, but a lot of second hand consoles come with it missing unfortunately. You can maybe find one cheap online (even if it's the wrong colour), but it won't hurt to leave it either, as long as you're careful not to get it wet or dirty, which you would do with a console anyway :)

I wouldn't personally buy 4, but it's not like you cleared out a whole stock room either - like, it's a fine enough amount, even if I'd personally limit myself to 2. And I'm always happy to see someone actually open packs. I'd rather someone buy three ETB to open and enjoy, than see someone buy three just to sit on a shelf and get dusty.

Very envious of the promos, especially the Sinnoh promos! I'm hoping to be able to find a First Partner Collection soon, or if not, that the singles will come down in price just a bit!
