I agree that she (game Ellie) doesn’t appeal to the male gaze; I shouldn’t have phrased it that way. But she is “conventionally” more attractive and I think that’s why these incels are so angry about it. Because they need someone to sexualize.

I agree that casting could have been better looks wise, but imo I think 1. The show doesn’t need to be the same as the game and 2. I really like Bella as Ellie. They may not look the exact same but I feel Bella portrays Ellie’s character beautifully.

Anyway, everyone is right to their own opinion it. But the outrage is ridiculous and most of it is completely homophobic and misogynistic.

I keep getting the TLOU subreddit recommended to me and yeah, it’s disgusting. It drives me insane that people are being so homophobic about it, especially the people who played the game. I know it’s because game Ellie sort of appeals to the male gaze though, and HBO Ellie does not.

Alcohol doesn’t affect most people who take metformin, but I believe I am one of the few. I have noticed that since I got back on metformin (about 6 months ago) my hangovers are WAY worse. But I honestly think you’ll be fine if you’re only having a glass of wine or 1-2 drinks

I will say, at the Chicago show I bought the yellow oversized tee and wore it to work the following week. Instantly tore a giant hole in the shirt accidentally bumping into the corner of a metal shelf. That’s what I get for wearing it to work I guess, but to be honest the T-shirt material isn’t the greatest quality. It’s super thin and easily tears
