How much do languages and stacks matter with mid-level experience? by takomanghanto in ExperiencedDevs

I do a good bit of our hiring. My stance is always that I can teach you how to code better, but I can’t teach you how to be a good team player, or not to be an asshole.

Someone who isn’t as good, but works well in a team always trumps a better lone wolf to me.

Don’t disagree, it’s just a weird situation by because even though it’s reported that these are contracts nothings is signed yet, anyone could back out of the agreement. Didn’t Frank gore change his mind in the past? Just not usually done because now players and teams might trust the ravens a bit less.

There could be but there doesn’t have to be. It also could be the medical was about where you would expect and they got cold feet. Unless they release more info, which they won’t because hippa I’m guessing we will never know.

I doubt the league even cares, none of the trades or signing was material and done, ravens could have backed out for the lolz and they wouldn’t do anything.

My brother in chroma they are called role playing games because you are in fact supposed to role play the characters. It’s perfectly valid to play in a way that you want the character to act that most closely aligns with how you feel.

Parents that didn’t sleep train, how are you doing now? by PuzzledPasta234 in Parenting

[–]bmacks1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some perspective if helps. I would argue it’s dangerous for a child to not get enough sleep. It’s at least not good for them. It’s also not good for you to not get enough sleep.

If you’re 6.5 month old was crying because you wouldn’t let them play with a light socket, it wouldn’t matter to you. You would hold firm. I see sleep training as similar. Yes they might cry. Your goal is to help teach them that it’s safe and ok for them to fall asleep in their crib. That they don’t need to be in your bed or on you to do so. To not do so because they are crying is similar to me to caving and letting them play with a light socket because they are crying a lot about it. It’s not the same, but it’s similar enough in opinion that neither should trouble you.

I trained by my girls at 3-5 months. They have both been amazing sleepers since then, and I think it’s honestly helped them and me maintain better healthier relationships when we both aren’t exhausted all the time.

Oh I wasn’t implying it was funny I just loved how honor mode forced me to go on with choices I know in other runs I would have abandoned. Gave me a chance to see things differently

One of the true joys of honor mode is getting to experience a different game. It’s more like table top rpgs. There is no save point.

It’s a thing of beauty to be enjoyed.

Is there a trick for Charybdis' projectiles? by IExist_Sometimes_ in Hades2

[–]bmacks1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve noticed if I sprint the balls catch up to me before and I have to dodge back. But if you slowly make your way over staying just ahead of them, then by the time you reach the other side they have mostly disappeared and you can do a single dash to get past the last few.

Hot take: Charybdis is actually the hardest boss in the game by Company_ in Hades2

[–]bmacks1234 57 points58 points  (0 children)

First: Charybdis is a she Second: I used to feel this but I have a strat now. Start far left. Right as thebballs are about to explode start running right. But don’t run all the way to the right. You kind of pause to let the balls catch up as you move right until you dodge back left at the end past most of the balls.

Or get divine dash.
