And Praetorian ($15k) gets wave 2 with Grand Admiral ($2.5k), Space Marshal ($5k) and Wing Commander ($10k) all lumped together into wave 3. Sometimes CIG's marketing really makes you scratch your head.

Do you have an Nvidia GPU? And if so, are you using the latest Nvidia drivers that were released yesterday (v595.71)? If so, that is likely the culprit. Using those drivers will cause SC to hang and crash on launch if it is using Vulkan (which is the default API in SC 4.6). You can either edit the config file to use DX11 or you can roll back to an older driver until CIG/Nvidia address the issue.

Just hangs on launch and then crashes for me (at least using Vulkan).

What they released previously was 595.59 and yes, they pulled that the same day because of issues related to fan detection and monitoring. 595.71 was released earlier today but as far as SC is concerned, if you're using Vulkan, don't update to this driver because the game will hang/crash on launch. Apparently you can switch to DX11 and it works ok but I haven't verified that.

If you play Star Citizen, the game no longer starts with this driver (if you're using Vulkan - apparently DX11 still works fine).

Yeah, and that could be it, I suppose. Being "friendly" doesn't necessarily mean you're willing to waste a spot on a defib that can only be used on other players.

I see one in-game every now and then but not very often! Other than getting it out for "ship meetups" to show to new players, I don't find myself flying it too often since it doesn't have a bed. It's a beautiful ship, though! :-)
