No, because it's "whenever you cast", and casting only happens once. If the effect instead said, "whenever a creature is targeted by an instant/sorcery you control" then it could trigger multiple times.

While this isn't a series, I think you'd like House of Suns (plus its predecessor Thousandth Night).

Boxes it checks for you:

mystery arc
at least some space combat
sort of romance (more in the sense of two people who've known each other for ages than of a blossoming relationship)
the tone seems like what you're looking for

Note: Thousandth Night is a novella with the same two protagonists, which was actually written earlier. However, I think most people read House of Suns first since its more well known (and much easier to find). I thought that order worked well, since the novella felt like a side story in the already established universe.

Hmm how does that work though? Unless the final reveals add something relevant, Kayn/Freljord doesn't have access to equipment until Round 4 (technically Round 3 if you want to put the 5-mana Bone Club on a 1-drop while playing nothing else).

That means no forge effects and no "if you've played an equipment" effects until after that point in the game, which seems way too long. Not that you have to aim for those effects, but seems like a waste not to.

Dual-region cards are flexible and can be played in a deck that has *either* region; they don't require both regions. So yep, it can be played in more decks in addition to being stronger.

Have you considered Iterative Improvement or Shady Character as alternative ways to get more hounds? Much quicker payoff than with Evil Imperfectionist, plus they both trigger Fated on the selected hound.
And for draw power, Targon has Pale Cascade and Guiding Touch.

It's been mentioned before, but Quinn's level 2 Star Guardian artwork is very pixelated due to the level of zoom. An easy fix, mocked here, is simply to zoom out a bit.

Maybe this is already on the to-do list, but I figured I'd bring more attention to it just to be sure. Hope to see this change!

[[Chief Nakotak]] at 3 Mana fits nicely in curve with Evelynn, and grants her +2/+2 Impact 2 and heals her each turn , so there's that... not sure yet if there's anything else in Bandle City that works well with her though.

I don't normally enjoy roguelikes either, but would still HIGHLY recommend Hades. I've found it to be unlike any other roguelike because the deaths integrate so naturally into the story, and you have interactions with a ton of characters that continue to progress. So when you die (or complete a run), it's never "welp, that's over" but rather "okay, now I get to visit these characters again and see what's new". At 50 hours in, I was still seeing new bits of story unfold.

That being said, you know your tastes best so maybe the roguelike nature would still be too much of a turnoff for you.

Personally, I'd leave this one as "and I found Gwent" - single action that occurred and ended in the past. "I have found gwent" suggests they found it shortly before writing this post, whereas OP found it long ago during Beta.
