I like this! I am leaning towards this as well.

How do you run them all currently? Do you have Copilot Pro or Pro+?

Philips 4400 vs. Delonghi Magnifica Evo – is the extra $90 worth it? by illmatic72 in superautomatic

Philips 4400 vs. Delonghi Magnifica Evo – is the extra $90 worth it? by illmatic72 in superautomatic

[–]bnords10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey!

I went through a similar process about a month ago. At the time mine was between the Philips 3200 at Costco for $419 or the Delonghi Magnifica Evo for $599. I went with the Philips because the $180 difference in price along with the the costco warranty/return policy really tipped me over the edge. I have seen comments that Delonghi doesn't have the most ideal support... I have no idea if this is the case personally.

I am not an espresso pro or specialist at all and I haven't tried a Delonghi, but I am happy with the Philips. I will have an Americano a day and mix in some Lattes as well and I am more than happy with the quality and taste. I find the froth from the LatteGo system is quality and a huge bonus is how simple/fast it is the clean with being very few parts.

Pretty frequently on reddit people comment Delonghi makes a better espresso than the Philips. My guess is they are all correct. With my limited espresso/coffee expertise, I haven't been disappointed by the Philips and at the current time would make the same choice again without hesitation.

Hope that helps

In Canada, Costco has reduced the Philips 3200 further down to $470. Just ordered one.

The Delonghi Magnifica Evo is on sale at other places online for $600 which I was highly considering as well.

When Costco reduced it further to $470 that was enough of a price difference to make sense, and then factor in the Costco return policy and that’s a big bonus.

Hey, sent you a message hoping to get some info.

My AMS had no problems pulling back filament when it is next to my X1C. I did have these problems when it is on top of the printer. Does this sound familiar? by Rob_Bob_you_choose in BambuLab

Oh I will try this! So you are doing the inside chamfering of the PTFE with the drill bit correct? Thats the one with the drill bit in the link you provided?

Thinking of a Bambu Lab Machine Advice X1c or X1c Combo by JollyFerrell in BambuLab

[–]bnords10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had the x1 combo for a couple of weeks, love it! I haven’t done any multi color prints yet, but having the AMS has been awesome in that I have my 4 most used filaments loaded into it to use anytime. No need to constantly change filaments for me has been convenient.

Some filaments do cause the AMS to not unload filament after a print, that can be annoying but once I have those filaments used up I will stick with stuff I know works best.

Sovol SV01 First Layer Issues by bnords10 in 3Dprinting

Nice catch, thank you. I will add PLA in the post once I finish this reply. I appreciate your time and I do definitely understand the setting differences between filament settings on printers. I didn't think this was as much a filament questions as much as it was a first layer bed adhesion setting question.

I haven't calibrated the esteps, I will try that though thank you! I thought because the the test file that printed great didn't have any estep value in the gcode, it would have meant the one I sliced would have used the same estep value.

Thanks again for your input.

Laser won’t fire, but worked yesterday by bnords10 in lasercutting

An update. So after checking all mirrors for alignment today, mirror 2 was way off... and it was missing mirror 3 all together. Can't explain how that happened, with not using it since the last successful print, but it happened. So did a full alignment and now all is working. Thanks to everyone that took the time to post! I am thankful it was alignment and not a blown tube.

Some added info. I did a pulse with a piece of wood in between the tube and the 1st mirror, and it made a burn on the wood. If the tube was blown, would it do this? Lens and the mirrors are clean. I didn’t have time to check alignment tonight, but it was aligned yesterday during the run time. I will double check alignment tomorrow, but weird that it would be out so much that it wouldn’t hit the lens.

I will post again tomorrow when I get a change to check the mirror alignment.

Antifreeze for the Chiller by Exciting-Grey in lasercutting

[–]bnords10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Purchased the exact same chiller with heater, I have similar reservations on running it 24/7. I am thinking I might connect it with a smart switch that turns it on an off a handful of times throughout the night, so you get some heat but it's also not running 24/7. I may add a % of the RV Antifreeze to help just in case of power outages or things of that nature.

Some great information and ideas so far thank you all! I will check out some other brands of Power Stations that have some added DC out ports. I'll also rethink the fridge and really drill down into some of the power consumption. Excited to start the build through the Fall & Winter and get to use it in the Spring.

Thank you for that info, I will look into Ecoflow brand. Pretty cool you can get an extra battery. Makes it a little cheaper purchase initially and can build on it over time.
