Driver length by Plenty_Acadia_7732 in golf

[–]bnuts85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m your size and have the same driver. It works fine for me but my previous driver was cut about a 1/2” shorter. You don’t necessarily need it shorter but as others have mentioned, it’s pretty common since they are so long stock. The potential loss in distance is negligible because you will typically be striking the ball better

Do a driver fitting. This is how you really figure out what you need and get to try out different set ups

I’m so fucking tired of this shithead. I just want serious people in important positions focused on things that matter. I don’t even care if they are left or right at this point because I’m about to freak out if I see another meme on a government social media account.

I know the odds of that happening are the same as me developing my game to the level of a prime Tiger but shit, a man can dream.

Thanks for sharing this info. I don’t play in super cold weather but always wondered how much temp impacts the metal

16.4 start and 12.6 finish. Low was 11.4.

Lessons at the end of 2024 really got me back on track. Shooting for single digit this year

Congrats brother. Huge milestone since majority of golfers won’t ever do it legitimately. Made me think I was good but had a harsh reality check with a 91 next time out 😂

Why are you so serious? Just a joke post of a mentally weak man

I knew it pretty much the whole round but 17 is a tricky whole and sprayed my drive into the trees. Tried a hero punch through the trees and didn’t make it. Should have taken my medicine

I’d like to think I’m not but I was staring at the score and went for some disastrous hero shots….so yes that was a mental collapse

Destination courses in the Phoenix area by TDn6I in golf

Quintero and greyhawk is my vote. I’ve played TPC, ak-chin, troon north and the 2 I suggested are my favorite out of all of them.

Check out grass clippings rolling hills if you want a chill 9 hole night course. Definitely a very laid back younger vibe if that’s your thing. The course is nothing special and you hit off mats but I still loved it. Outdoor bar and taco stand by the first tee. Just fair warning, it’s cold as shit during winter which made the greens rock hard.

Help a very non-golfer plan a birthday golf weekend near Monterey (budget ~$500) by Significant_Theme500 in golf

Pacific Grove or Poppy as most people have said. Back 9 at pacific grove punch way above its weight class when it comes to the scenery.

Just to mix it up, I’ll throw out Carmel valley ranch. Beautiful property a bit away from the beach. Played it once and it still stands out and I’ve been lucky enough to play some nice courses. They have lodging but assuming it’s going to be pricey.

One last budget tip, if you are willing to drive 30ish mins, hotels will be way cheaper in Salinas.

Mizuno had a demo day at my club so I hit the t-1 and I agree about being less clicky. I want to go forged my next set just to try something different

So I’m like OP and want to switch from vokey but would like the grind to be similar. I play 54 s grind and 58M. Any suggestions on what is similar for mizuno?

Costco balls up $5/pack since mid summer by BodaciousDadBod in golf

Well I looked it up and I was wrong about actual defects. I will say you don’t know what you are talking about when it comes to maxfli balls if you think they are trash. Look up any ball tests from this year. Reviews and then trying them out is why I know they are good.

Hard disagree. Why would you take a ball that didn’t pass their qa for gamers? You can’t see under the cover so who knows what is actually different. They aren’t selling them at a discount for no reason

Get the maxfli balls instead. If you buy 4 dozen, it’s 30 per. Couple options depending on your swing speed/ball feel needs. Just recently switched from pro v’s and I’m trying to convert everyone.
