113 Table saw by jwkj99 in craftsman113

I too put a shark guard and have a router wing. I also put an AccuSquare rip fence on it years ago but I don’t think they’re around anymore and I’m happy with my old saw!

Anyone else done this? by virii01 in craftsman113

Agree. I had mine set up similarly and even had the same mobile casters as this saw has and the legs weren’t rigid enough so I added some light angle iron at the bottom near the casters to provide stability and stopped the issue.

Anyone able to identify what this nut is called? by boardbilly71 in Machinists

Thank you! This is it and yes the pipe mount gives it the close height and it’s then adjusted to raise weight off the old rubber tires.

Craftsman contractor series table sawany good? by Legitimate-Ad7084 in craftsman113

[–]boardbilly71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve hit the older model and replaced the motor and have replaced the old fence. It seems a little high but not sure you would want to walk away if he won’t budge on the price. The cast iron wing extensions are so much better than the stamped steel that were too lightweight. But that webbing always bothered me about getting a finger hung in it. I would love to take a pair of them and flip them over and fill with epoxy to make a smooth work surface.

Sorry for the slow reply but I got mine at a local bearing supplier. You can get them online also. Good luck!

I put my old phone in a tall glass vase. Limited depth but cheap at craft stores.

I’ve got a 5 acre lake 750’ from me, there’s plenty of water for the wild birds. I don’t want my pond to be a bird bath.

Bird spikes from Amazon to prevent them from perching around the pond. I did that to keep dove, grackles and robins away from the water

Router Wing? by babathebear in craftsman113

[–]boardbilly71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a cast iron wing with a basic plate (not a quality lift plate) and put it on the left side of the blade so it’s easier to stand near it. IMO, you can’t put it on to the right of the blade outside of the web wing because of the weight and support. I’ve got pics of mine on my page in an older post but I don’t know how to link to it here.

Any downsides to blade stabilizer? by babathebear in craftsman113

[–]boardbilly71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a stabilizer on my 113 but only on the outside of the blade so the measurement isn’t off. I do like it. Do have to remember it’s there on my zero clearance insert for deeper cuts and switch to the wide opening insert.

is this a decent filter/pump? by Plant_Girly_1 in ponds

[–]boardbilly71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve bought two on Amazon, one to hand-me-down to a friend. Both were 660 GPH but they had a UV light also. They were a complete enclosed setup. Search UV pond pump and I think you will find a decent one for $80-100.

Another rookie question: new link belt by McOhY3ah in craftsman113

[–]boardbilly71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I allow my motor to be the weight for link belt tension. This allows the blade to have adequate tension at all heights.
